UPDATE 10:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

The View from Ashdod

Regular readers of OneIsrael may remember that during the past year, your humble servant has gone to the Har Habeit (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem several times, and each time I have been surprised to see Jews bowing in prayer and even prostrate on the ground in prayer in the direction of the Kipat HaSela (Dome of the Rock).

These were remarkable sights which would not have been possible before Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir relaxed restrictions on Jewish activity on the Mount.

I was thinking about this last week when these photos were posted online:

And:

In the second photo, it is clear that this group led by Rabbi Yehuda Glick (in the blue shirt), is praying toward the Kipat HaSela-under which is the holiest place in Judaism, the Foundation Stone on which the Ark of the Covenant once rested.

The reason I mention all of this today is because of this post yesterday by Moshe Feiglin:

“Last Tisha B’Av, the transformation began on the Temple Mount and in our national movement.

When I first bowed openly, with honor and dignity in the month of Av, I felt that we had won the war.

The Lord said to Jacob: ‘The land on which you lie, to you I will give it and to your seed. Behold, we lie here on the ground, rendered useless before the Lord, and we are victorious in the war.

Congratulations to all the pilgrims to the Temple Mount and to our Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

In the Middle East, only one nation remains – the people of Israel. The rest are collapsing and evaporating.

May we truly deserve complete redemption in these days.”

Of course, it is the bravery of our soldiers that has made victory possible against Hamas and Hezbollah. Nevertheless, one wonders if G-d looks favorably on Israel restoring Jewish prayer on the Mount.

On the Ground in Gaza

Following a Wall Street Journal report concerning President Biden’ severe cognitive decline during the last four years, and how his minions hid this from public knowledge by taking over various functions of the President, one does not know how to characterize yesterday’s “conversation” between Bidenite Special Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs Liz Grande and Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Maj. Gen. Rasan Alian.

According to reports, Grande shockingly demanded that Israel:

1. . . . publish an official statement that it is not pursuing a starvation policy in Gaza.

2. . . . cancel the evacuation orders of the populations in Gaza.

3. . . . allow the population to return to places that were evacuated in the past.

4. . . . present a comprehensive plan to reduce damage to civilian infrastructure.

Four unbelievable demands.

Everyone knows that Israel continues to ridiculously supply humanitarian aid to Gaza–which is regularly commandeered and stolen by Hamas.

Everyone knows that the evacuation orders are given when areas are going to be targeted because terrorists are using them to fire missiles at southern Israel.

Everyone knows that willy nilly allowing the population to return to places that were evacuated means facilitating the return of terrorists to those places.

Everyone knows Hamas and all the other terror groups in Gaza are embedded in “civilian infrastructure” to the point that there is no “civilian infrastructure” in Gaza.

To restate, are these demands really emanating from Biden or are they the concoction of Liz Grande? Whatever the case, they represent a last gasp by the Biden Administration to restrain Israel and control what’s happening in Gaza–one month before President-elect Trump takes over.

On the Ground in Syria

It has been another night of IAF attacks in Syria.

Yesterday, the following map was published about who controls what in Syria now:

Obviously, the Golan Heights is not “controlled by Israel”; it is Israel. Despite this error, you can get a sense of what Turkey is now trying to accomplish in northern Syria–as Turkish President Erdogan pursues his Ottoman dreams.

Speaking of those delusional dreams, Erdogan published this message yesterday:

On the Ground in Judea and Samaria

*Two terrorists on a motor scooter were killed yesterday when the bomb they were carrying prematurely exploded.

*The IDF eliminated 4 members of the terrorist infrastructure in Tulkarm. From the IDF Spokesman:

“In a joint operation by the Shin Bet and the IDF, terrorist Tarek Dosh, one of the leaders of the terrorist infrastructure in Tulkarm, was eliminated earlier today (Thursday) in an aircraft attack in the Tulkarm area.

Over the past year, the terrorist has recruited a number of operatives under his wing, who were trained with Iranian funding by operatives from a Lebanese headquarters, linked to the Makdah family, in order to promote attacks against Israeli targets.

The infrastructure operating under the terrorist’s command led a series of shooting attacks against IDF forces, as well as shooting attacks against checkpoints and communities near the fence in the Tulkarm area. In addition, the terrorists also planned to carry out attacks in Israeli territory.

Along with Tarek Dosh, the terrorist Dosem Ofi, a prominent military operative in the Tulkarm infrastructure, and two other terrorists were also eliminated.”

*How quickly we forget that the PLO was heavily involved in the October 7 massacres a year ago.

Yesterday came word that the government has lapsed into its pre-October 7 conception that the PLO are the good guys by supplying weapons and support to 300 armed PLO soldiers now operating in Jenin. The IDF is even considering supplying bomb defusion equipment and kevlar vests to the PLO.

If that is not enough, the IDF is also supporting an increase of Palestinian workers admitted for work into Israel.

All of this comes as statistics show that terror in Judea and Samaria has decreased markedly especially in comparison with the levels seen during the second intifada.

The bottom line is that when it comes to the PLO and Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, we have returned to October 6.

Speaking of October 7

Two days ago we had the incredible spectacle of three Israel Supreme Court Justices showing up unexpectedly at an Israeli prison to make sure that the terrorist monsters captured on October 7th are being treated well–and especially that they have nutritious food to eat.

And so it goes here in Israel on a very rainy day . . . so far . . .
