UPDATE 11:00 AM ISRAEL TIME
The View from Ashdod
(though your humble servant is actually in Siem Reap, Cambodia)
*This is a sad day that we knew was coming. The Netzarim Corridor which our soldiers died fighting to establish and maintain has now been abandoned by Israel as part of the ceasefire/hostage agreement.
This Corridor which separated central Gaza from northern Gaza was an iconic symbol of Israel’s victory over Hamas. As our troops left today, the IDF Commander declared to his soldiers “We’ll be back soon.”
We here at OneIsrael doubt that.
*On the Gaza hostage front:

The question is how many of the 17 are alive and how many are dead? We know for example that the three Bibas family members are all dead.
It is simply barbaric that Hamas continues to hold hostages that they themselves describe as “sick and wounded.”
*Meanwhile in the north, Israel continues to pound Hezbollah targets as far north as the Beqaa Valley.
At the moment, Lebanon is more concerned about Sunni Syrians who have begun to attack Shi’ite Lebanese along the Syrian-Lebanese border.
And so it goes in Israel today . . . so far . . .
