The Dramatic Statement from PM Netanyahu Today:
“I have just completed an in-depth four-hour discussion in the political-security cabinet. We all expressed outrage at the shocking situation of our three hostages who were released last Saturday.
We all also welcomed President Trump’s demand for the release of our hostages by Saturday noon, and we all also welcomed the president’s revolutionary vision for the future of Gaza.
In light of Hamas’s announcement of its decision to violate the agreement and not release our hostages, last night I ordered the IDF to amass forces inside and around the Gaza Strip. This operation is underway at this time. It will be completed in the very near future.
The decision I passed unanimously in the cabinet is this: If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday noon – the ceasefire will end, and the IDF will return to intense fighting until Hamas’s final decision is made.”
Hamas has been given deadline of three days from now by both President Trump and PM Netanyahu and the Cabinet. As unlikely as it seemed just a few weeks ago, we could well be at war again by Sunday.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
