On the Ground in Gaza
*There may be movement on a hostage release/ceasefire if one can believe President Trump’s comments yesterday and those of senior Israeli officials this morning. We hesitate to say any more than that because there have been endless hopes dashed during the last 553 days.
*The IDF/IAF attacked terrorists yesterday in Jabaliya, Khan Younis, Gaza City, and Beit Lahia. In the Khan Younis attack at 4:20 am this morning, 10 terrorists were reportedly eliminated.
*According to Walla! military correspondent Amir Bohbot: “IDF forces advanced last night (Friday) in the ground maneuver on the Morag axis, and in taking over additional areas in the southern Gaza Strip with the assistance of air force strikes and artillery fire. Including in the maneuver toward areas east of Khan Yunis.”
*The IDF issued this statement in the evening confirming the death of the terrorist we discussed on OneIsrael yesterday:
“The terrorist Haitham Razek Abd al-Karim Sheikh Khalil, commander of Hamas’ Shejaiya battalion, who commanded the infiltration into Nahal Oz and took part in the attack during the murderous massacre of October 7th, was eliminated in the strike . . . Khalil planned and executed terrorist attacks against IDF troops and operated to plant explosives and booby-trap combat zones . . . and was the head of Hamas’ tunnel operation . . .
The terrorist assumed command of the Shejaiya battalion following the elimination of the previous commander Jamil Wadia, and his previous commander, Fahim Farhat.”
*Last night came another announcement from the IDF and ISA:
“On Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, the IDF and ISA, under the command of the Southern Command and in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate and the IAF, renewed operations in Gaza.
It can now be revealed that the IDF and ISA have precisely targeted and eliminated 11 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the brutal massacre on October 7th. Among them were key terrorists directly involved in the murder and abduction of Israeli civilians and soldiers . . . :
Hassan Na’am – Responsible for the abduction of Sgt. Shaked Dahan.
Ismail Shakhshekh – Responsible for the murder of Israelis, threw grenades at the Re’im Junction shelter, and launched a man-portable surface-to-air missile inside Israeli territory.
Jalal Kara’an – Took part in the murder of Inbar Haiman, infiltrated the Nova music festival site and military bases, responsible for the murder of two Israeli civilians while documenting and distributing the footage online.
Muhammad Isa – Infiltrated into Mefalsim and participated in the murderous massacre of October 7th.
Muhammad Shabki – Infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the massacre on October 7th.
Fares Krashin – Infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the massacre on October 7th.
Yahya Astal – Infiltrated into Israeli territory and participated in the massacre on October 7th.
Muhammad Zakir – Infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the massacre on October 7th.
Muhammad Astal – Infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the massacre on October 7th.
Muhammad Al-Safour – Involved in the attack on the Southern Gaza Brigade’s command post and the abduction of the soldiers posted there during the October 7th massacre.
Khaled Aldin – Responsible for the murder of Israeli civilians during the October 7th massacre.
The IDF and ISA will continue to operate against all those who were involved in the October 7th massacre.”
*The IDF also reported this morning that another Hamas terrorist, Mu’aman Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, the son of the commander of the Gaza Brigade in the military wing of Hamas, was killed in an air strike yesterday.
On the Ground in Lebanon
Is Hezbollah really beginning to turn over its weapons to the Lebanese Army?
Probably not, but apparently the U.S. is blocking financial aid from Saudi Arabia and Qatar to Lebanon until “Hezbollah is disbanded.”
The Lebanese Foreign Minister in a press interview yesterday:
“We have clearly announced that aid and rehabilitation will only come after weapons in Lebanon are exclusively in the possession of the state.”
Again, we here at OneIsrael highly doubt that Hezbollah will be disbanded and disarmed.
On the Ground in Judea and Samaria
*Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis on the Gush Etzion Road near Halhul. No Israelis were physically wounded; cars were damaged; the terrorists escaped.
*4 Palestinian terrorists who attacked Israelis at the entrance to Din Dabooan with an axe, “rocks”, and a vehicle (run-over attack) have been captured. In the attack, one Israeli who was hit in the head an axe was badly wounded.
*Palestinian terrorist attacked Israelis on the road between Tapuach and Migdalim. No Israelis were physically wounded; cars were damaged; the terrorists escaped.
*Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis with Molotovs on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion Road near Al-Hader. No Israelis were physically wounded; the terrorists escaped.
