Chag Pesach Sameach! Happy Passover!

As we celebrate the Jewish festival of freedom, we here at OneIsrael cannot forget the hostages still barbarically imprisoned underground in Gaza. May they soon see the light of freedom!

On the Hostage Front This Morning

Two steps forward, one and a half backward: Hamas has informed media that the current round of hostage/ceasefire negotiations based on the Egyptian proposal has failed because of Israel’s insistence that it disarm–and because the proposal does not specify an end to the war.

Yesterday, at a meeting with the family of the hostage of Eitan Mor, PM Netanyahu said that the hold up is because of Israel’s demand that Hamas release 10 live hostages in return for a ceasefire and Palestinian terrorist prisoner release.

The 59 remaining hostages:

On the Ground in Gaza

There are mixed reports concerning IDF progress in Gaza with many news outlets reporting that the IDF’s resumed drive has stalled. However, for those of us living in a 40 km radius of Gaza this hardly seems the case.

This morning at 5:30 am a series of massive explosions happened in Khan Younis. The explosions were heard and felt all the way down the Arava to Eilat–and obviously, here in Ashdod as well.

At the same time, more explosions are heard all the time as the IDF continues to demolish homes north of Rafah in its move to expand the Morag Corridor.

On the Ground in Lebanon

In what had to be the most idiotic quote of the day, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun declared that the Lebanese “support an agreement to return to the 1949 armistice agreement with Israel.”

This is the same old line mouthed endlessly by the PLO except that it likes to use the June 4, 1967 lines. The 1949 armistice lines are the June 4, 1967 lines.

To return to those lines would mean that nearly 900,000 Jews would need to be forcibly evacuated from Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem.

That will never happen.

On the Ground in Yemen

*The USAF struck 15 Houthi targets in the Marab area from which the Houthis launch most of their missiles and drones.

*According to the Houthis, American jets also carried out “three US airstrikes on the Al-Jawf province in northwestern Yemen and two on the city of Al-Abdiyah in the Marib province in western Yemen.” In addition, more targets were hit in Al-Abdiyah where a radar and communications center was destroyed.

The U.S.-Iran Talks

Every time Trump envoy Steven Witkoff opens his mouth, he gives another concession to the Iranians.

Following comments in which he said that all Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities had to be eliminated, he backtracked in an interview on Fox News saying that Iran should not enrich uranium “to a level higher than 3.67%.”

The Iranians dismissed this concession immediately with the Iranian chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Islami declaring: “We will continue to enrich uranium and gouge out the eyes of the West.”

As you know the Iranians have already refined enough uranium to produce at least 6 nuclear bombs–and continue enriching at 60% as the “talks” take place.

As for President Trump’s comments about an agreement being reached “soon”, Mohammad-Javad Larijani, Khamenei’s foreign affairs advisor, said on Iranian television that negotiations would take at least “several months.”

The Annual OneIsrael Passover to Shavuot Campaign

We have begun our annual fundraising campaign and ask for your donation (please click on the orange “donate button” on the right side of this page).

Where do your donations go?

In the last two months alone, money donated via OneIsrael has gone to these three non-profit organizations:

Civil Security Guards of Israel

October 7 demonstrated how critically important these security guards are. Your donations have purchased bulletproof vests and helmets, Medic Packs, communication devices, and night vision binoculars for these security guards defending Israeli border communities. This is a photo of the Kibbutz Zikim security squad:

Rescue Judea and Samaria SSF

Your donations have gone to support these paramedics who work around the clock to rescue the victims of terror, provide emergency services, and offer general support to Jewish community members. A photo of a volunteer in action:

Stand With Kibbutz Nahal Oz

Your donations are helping rebuild this amazing community on the Gaza border whose residents were slaughtered and residences largely destroyed on October 7:

Every donation you make supports Israel! Please click on the orange “donate button” on the right side of this page so we can continue supporting the above.

And so it goes this morning in Israel . . . so far . . .
