. . . BREAKING NEWS . . .
3:19 pm Friday: IDF soldier in Ni’lin “moderately” wounded when hit by a “rock” in face. Terrorist escapes.
3:10 pm Friday: Attempted Palestinian stabbing attack at Gush Etzion Junction. Female terrorist shot and killed. No Israelis wounded.
2:55 pm Friday: Palestinian stabbing attack thwarted at entrance to Sha’ar Binyamin industrial region in Samaria where IDF soldier Tuvia Weissman was murdered two weeks ago. Knife-wielding terrorists captured.
UPDATES 6 am Israel time:
–>Palestinian terror yesterday continued unabated yesterday.
In the three most egregious incidents:
*a soldier was stabbed in the throat and upper torso at a bus stop just outside of Ariel by two terrorists. She remains in “serious” condition this morning at Sha’are Zedek Hospital. The two terrorists were shot and killed.
*a 25 year old Jewish man was stabbed at the Talpiot Achim Yisrael Mall southeast of Jerusalem. His condition is “moderate”; the terrorist escaped.
*there was an attempted kidnapping of two Israeli young men by two carloads of Palestinians near the community of Tekoa. The Israelis somehow escaped–as did the terrorists.
The number of “rock” and Molotov attacks were too many to include here. Suffice it to say that Israelis were targeted in:
Hizma (one badly wounded), Ofra, Kochav Shahar, Efrat, Abu Dis, Halhul, Sur Baher, Ras al-Amud, the Mt. of Olives, Silwan, Al-Hader, Abu Dis, Kedumim, Karmi Tzur, Anatot, Hebron Hills, Rahelim, Beit Ummar, Rachel’s Tomb, Hizma, and Makel–in other words throughout Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem.
–>A bombshell program on Israeli Channel 2 last night about Breaking the Silence.
The hideous Breaking the Silence organization, which pays disgruntled soldiers to travel the world trashing the IDF, has come under even more intense scrutiny.
The news program documented how Breaking the Silence systematically collects classified material on IDF personnel and operations. For example, some of that information apparently includes such material as the location of IDF units, how the IDF locates Hamas tunnels, the capabilities of IDF sapper robots, and more.
Late last night, a number of leaders called for Breaking the Silence to be investigated immediately.
Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid spoke for many of us when he said:
“Breaking the Silence undermines the State of Israel and causes untold damage to the State of Israel and its soldiers. This organization does not have any right to exist in a country which fights terrorism on a daily basis.”
–>Another laughable decision by the abominable COGAT unit.
COGAT, the IDF unit that provides aid and comfort to Hamas and the PLO, announced this morning that it has frozen its agreement with Hamas which allows 200 Gazan/Hamas men over 60 to be bused to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem each Friday so that they can worship at the Al-Aksa Mosque.
According to COGAT, it has been discovered that Hamas is “exploiting” the agreement. For one thing, many of the men bused to Jerusalem each Friday do not return to Gaza.
Can you believe this? As if there are no Hamas terrorists who are older than 60?
But Hamas doesn’t have to worry. In the same announcement about the freezing, COGAT assured the terrorist organization that its action is only temporary, and that permits will soon be issued again.
Unbelievable.
–>Almost as unbelievable as the small group of Israelis who traverse the globe organizing protests against Israel.
Most of these protests take place at universities that sponsor “Israel Apartheid Week”. Yesterday, the Israeli student organization Im Tirzu published a list of some of these disgusting, traitorous individuals.
To give you an example of how surreal this Israeli anti-Israel business has become, take a look at one person named “Dr. Uri Davis.” Twelve days ago, Davis spoke at a South African “Israel Apartheid Week” event.
Davis was born in Israel, joined the PLO, converted to Islam, and married a Palestinian woman in Ramallah. He describes himself as “a Palestinian Hebrew national of Jewish origin, anti-Zionist, registered as Muslim and a citizen of an apartheid state – the State of Israel.”
Just plain unbelievable.
–>Hezbollah continues to suffer massive casualties in Syria.
71 coffins bearing the bodies of Hezbollah fighters were returned to southern Beirut today. Belonging to the Radwan Brigade, supposedly one of the elite units of Hezbollah, the fighters were apparently killed in fighting near Homs.
When they were killed is in dispute. Hezbollah would not turn over the coffins to the families of the fighters because the bodies were badly decomposed.
20 more Hezbollah fighters were reported killed near Palmyra yesterday, and another 30 were wounded.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Necessity is indeed the mother of invention.
In a situation in which Israelis are getting stabbed everyday by Palestinian terrorists, it is not at all surprising that an Israeli doctor has developed a revolutionary treatment for stopping the uncontrolled bleeding from deep knife wounds.
To quote from the website “We fund the cure”:
“Israeli scientist, Moshe Rogosnitzky discovered that gallium, currently used to stop bone loss in cancer patients, in liquid form (known as gallium nitrate) can rapidly halt bleeding from wounds and speed up the healing. The first report was published in 2011.
Gallium works by inducing “flocculation” of the clotting protein in blood known as fibrinogen. This results in external clot formation. In stark contrast to other treatments for bleeding wounds, gallium does not induce clotting mechanisms in the blood. This avoids the highest risk of existing technologies that run the risk of causing internal blood clots. This novel mechanism was discovered at University of Lille in France, and published in 2013 in BioMetals.
The use of gallium for stopping bleeding from wounds provides additional benefits. Extensive research has shown that gallium is a very powerful anti-infective agent. At the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York it was discovered that gallium speeds the healing of wounds.”
