Picture of the Day:

The Jordanians continue rubbing our faces in the dirt.

The Jordanian Minister of Media Affairs and government spokesperson, Jumana Ghunaimat (bag on her left arm), trampling on the Israeli flag at an event in Amman yesterday. Photo source on photo.

The Jordanians continue rubbing our faces in the dirt at every opportunity. Ghunaimat was attending a meeting of Jordan’s Union of Engineers yesterday and happily walked across the Israeli flag which had been placed on the floor with footsteps on it in an Arabic demonstration of hatred of Israel.

Stupid Quote of the Day:

“The Dead Sea Canal will enable Jordan to cope with its water shortage, allow us to work to save the Dead Sea from dehydration and most importantly strengthen peace between us and an Arab state that maintains a peace agreement with the State of Israel.”

Tzachi Hanegbi, Cabinet Minister and Netanyahu confidante, speaking yesterday about the final agreement between Israel and Jordan to pipe water from the Red Sea to the edge of the Dead Sea where it will be desalinated by Jordan.

In the first place, why should we give a whit whether Jordan dries up or not? Would it destabilize the Middle East? No more than it already is.

In the second place, the agreement will “strengthen peace between us and an Arab state that maintains a peace agreement with the State of Israel”?

What a joke.

What the peace agreement has done is help drain the Kineret dry because Jordan demands (and receives) more and more water from Israel, give Muslims virtual control over the Temple Mount where Israel kowtows to every Jordanian demand, and expose Israel to delegitimization in every international venue where Jordanians introduce resolution after resolution against Israel.

The News on the Israeli Street

Sometimes you get what you wish for . . .

Just yesterday, your humble servant wrote:

“In my opinion, HaYemin HeHadash would fare better in the election if Shaked were at the top of the ticket instead of Bennett.”

Guess what? It now looks like Ayelet Shaked will indeed run at the top of the party’s ticket.

Speaking of Ayelet Shaked . . .

For the first time today, a petition concerning the illegal Arab takeover of land (financed by the European Union) in Gush Etzion was filed in Jerusalem District Court.

That it can be filed in Jerusalem District Court is a direct result of Ayelet Shaked’s Administrative Courts Law that passed the Knesset this year. That law gives Jews living in Judea and Samaria the same legal-process rights as other Israelis.

Meanwhile things went poorly for Tzipi Livni today . . .

That’s a red flag if ever viagra purchase uk there was one. Here it is mandatory to clarify the difference between simple “Lighting” and “Visual Enhancing india viagra generic” and Christopher Snape will show you the difference. Dr Michael D Gershon suggests that strong links between our gut and our mental state evolved because a lot of information about unica-web.com order generic cialis our Texas Parent Taught Driver ed from our website. Some allergic reactions are also possible due to the inflammation, men can https://www.unica-web.com/OBITUARIES/In-Memoriam.html viagra prescription also experience dreaminess, hypomnesis and other psychasthenia symptoms.
The Knesset Chairman of the Labor Party, Livni was participating at the Jabotinsky Conference of Leadership when this happened:

The Hebrew under the video link reads what the man in the audience repeatedly shouted:  “You have no right to talk to us about equality.” What the man was shouting about were statements she made about how Israel has lost its “values.”

Poor Tzipi. It looks like no one wants her to join their political party. And why? Because she is so far to the “left” that she inspires outbursts like the above with her politically correct rhetoric.

A fly in the ointment . . .

As you know, PM Netanyahu has been trying to ram a new place for male and female Reform Jews to pray together at the Western Wall down the throat of those who believe that Reform Judaism is not Judaism.

Today, the Jerusalem District Planning and Building Committee rejected a request to renew the building permit for the mixed prayer area. The Committee pointed out that the construction that has already been done at the site does not comply with the regulations imposed by the existing permit that just expired.

Why is the world silent? . . .

The Chinese government demolished three mosques in the city of Weishan yesterday. They then proceeded to beat and arrest all Muslim protesters.

Where is the Arab League? Where is the United Nations? Where is the European Union?

TODAY’S BLOG:

Why Do New Immigrants Keep Pouring Into Israel?

New immigrants arriving at Ben Gurion this past July.

New immigrants arriving at Ben Gurion this past July.

Just when you think that immigration to Israel is in decline comes this good news from the Jewish Agency today.

29,600 new immigrants made aliya to Israel in 2018, a 5% increase over 2017.

29,600.

What do you think were the four countries where the most new Israelis came from?

In order they were: Russia, the Ukraine, the United States, and France.

It is worthwhile to take a moment and consider why these people are coming to Israel.

They are coming for the same reason that Jews have always come. It is the Jewish homeland and an island of safe refuge for Jews in sea of anti-Semitism. It has become virtually the only place in the world where Jews feel safe to openly be Jews.
