Well . . . our putrid government did respond yesterday and this morning by trucking ever more construction materials into Gaza that can be used by Hamas to make terrorist tunnels:
Two trucks headed into Gaza this morning from the Kerem Shalom Crossing. Obviously, the top one is carrying bags of cement, the bottom one iron bars used to reinforce the concrete made from the cement.
And IDF did respond last night by hitting an empty Hamas weapons production facility, an empty terrorist tunnel shaft in Jabalya, and an empty Hamas underground rocket launching station. No terrorists were killed or wounded.
The exasperating situation in southern Israel is beyond surreal. What other country in the world would not only countenance missile and explosive balloon fire on its citizens, but also at the same time reward the terrorists launching the missiles and “balloons”?

A fire at Kissufim yesterday.
As we noted in yesterday’s blog, there was a large launch of explosive balloons from Gaza yesterday morning which we predicted would produce a large number of fires by afternoon.
And so they did.
At least 9 fires burned an undetermined number of acres of forest land in the Kissufim and Be’eri Forests and agricultural land elsewhere in such places as Hatzorot Yasaf.
In Judea and Samaria:
Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked between Shavei Shomron and Chumash, between Kiryat Arba and Beit Anun, between Itamar and Elon Moreh (Israeli wounded), at Beit Furik, at various places in Gush Etzion, and at the Tekoa Junction among some two dozen locations.
As Yossi Dagan, the head of the Samaria Regional Council said: “Repeated stone throwing in Samaria indicates the continued weakening of Israel’s deterrence against Palestinian terrorists.”

PM Bennett’s Utterly Useless Upcoming Meeting With President Biden
As you may know, PM Bennett is leaving Israel tomorrow for Washington, D.C. where he will meet with President Biden on Thursday.
If there was ever a more useless trip, your humble servant would like to know when and where it was.
It is being widely reported that Bennett will use his time with the incompetent Biden to outline a new plan that Bennett and his cohorts have come up with to deal with Iran.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
In the first place, Bennett and his cohorts cannot even come up with a plan to deal with missile and balloon fire from Gaza, or missile fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon, or the upsurge of Corona in Israel, and we are supposed to believe that they can come up with a new plan to deal with Iran?
In the second place, the idea that Biden is somehow going to change his plan to renew the nuclear deal with Iran is ludicrous. Biden is old and set in his ways–as the Afghanistan debacle clearly shows. And, of course, the only thing on Biden’s mind at the moment is Afghanistan.
So there will be the usual photo ops (the real reason Bennett is going is to bolster his prestige), possibly a media moment in the Oval Office ( the bumbling Biden is increasingly loathe to have these for fear of saying something stupid), everyone will shake hands, the U.S. will affirm its support for Israel and for the “holy” two state solution with the Palestinians (Israel will give concessions to the Palestinians in return for nothing), and Bennett and his entourage will pack their suitcases and head back home.
Nothing will change with Iran.
As the title of this blog states, a totally useless trip.
