Shabbat Shalom!
As regular readers know, your humble servant does not write a blog on Shabbat, but here are some photos posted today by users of Israeli social media:
Not the Himalayas. This is photo taken from the summit of Israel’s Mt. Hermon looking toward the Shofar Mountains in Lebanon.
Some happy soldiers on the Lebanese border. Note they are holding pizza boxes brought by the young brother of the soldier you see kneeling in front.

Tens of thousands of Israelis went to the national parks on this sunny Shabbat following the extremely cold weather of the week. These Israelis are swimming in the thermal heated pools at Hamat Gader.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
