What do you think this grows up to be?

What do you think this animal which was once extinct in Israel grows up to be?

This little ram grows into this adult ram:

The reintroduction of white rams is part of a breeding program at Chai Bar in southern Israel. 8 new calves were born recently which will play a significant role in helping this magnificent ram make a comeback here. The white ram population has now risen to 120 individuals.

IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks:

Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis on Road 55 between Azzun and Karni Shomron, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road between Beit Omer and Karni Tzur, half a kilometer outside of Ariel, and at numerous other places overnight.

Israel bails out Egypt again . . .

It was just a few years ago that Israel decided to waive a $2 billion dollar debt that Egypt owed us.

This morning comes news that Israel has pledged to be a guarantor for a $3 billion loan that Egypt is getting from the World Bank. The purpose of the loan is to subsidize the cost of bread for Egyptian citizens.

By the way, Israel was asked to guarantee the loan because none of the Gulf countries would.

Whatever Happened To Civility In Public Life?

What would you think if you saw this headline in a newspaper?

“Ben Gvir to order crack down on left-wing protesters”

You would probably think, like your humble servant did, that our Minister of National Security Ben Gvir is attempting to violently suppress liberal dissent in Israel.

But nothing is further from the truth.

This headline actually appeared on the front page of the Jerusalem Post this morning apparently as part of the media campaign to bring down Ben Gvir and the current government.

After the headline, the Post added that Ben Gvir has issued instructions to the police to arrest demonstrators who riot destroying property, protesters who block roads, and anyone who is carrying a sign inciting to violence.

Speaking of inciting to violence, we have had a disturbing 24 hours here in Israel which have seen a number of senior officials from the previous government call for massive civil uprisings to get rid of our new government.

The calls have been led today by none other than former “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz who has issued a clarion call to “shake the ground” with protests.

Even some of Gantz’s own colleagues, notably Gadi Eizenkot, issued a statement saying that Gantz has gone too far and is actually encouraging fraticide.

Civility on a political level seems virtually dead following the last election. There is no acceptance of the new government by those who lost the election.
