Winter has definitely arrived in Israel with cold and rainy weather throughout the country and snow on Mt. Hermon!

It may be cold and rainy, but our soldiers were operating last night throughout Judea and Samaria. This soldier was providing cover for his fellow soldiers in Jilazon.

The Shabbat menu last night for the 138th Air Defense Battalion at Birya. The tofu caviar is served in “grandmother’s Moroccan sauce.”

Terror at the Beit El Checkpoint yesterday. The knife-wielding Palestinian was shot by alert soldiers.

A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
