The Disgusting Quote of the Day

“I intend to lead a secular-green front that will take care of protecting the interests of Tel Aviv and you residents – throughout the term – a period of 5 years. I have the energy, determination and experience to keep Tel Aviv secular and liberal. Without religious coercion, without gender segregation and without religion.”

Deputy Mayor of Tel Aviv Reuven Lediansky in a statement yesterday attacking a mass prayer on Hol HaMoed Pesach in Dizengoff Square.

Can you imagine that we now have “Jewish” politicians in Israel openly running on a platform that would dispense with Judaism?

Incredible.

And disgusting.

The Video Of The Day

Remember how the maritime agreement with the USA/Lebanon was billed as one that would bring peace to the area and neutralize the threat from Hezbollah? At the time, we here at OneIsrael said that that idea was preposterous.

Yesterday, Hezbollah released this video threatening to attack Israeli gas wells in the vicinity–beside the area the maritime agreement covered.

The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Judea and Samaria  (over the last 72 hours).

A Palestinian terrorist squad opened fire on an IDF force near Elon Moreh. 2 terrorists were killed, and 2 escaped.

Pipe bomb attack:

Security forces have just defused a pipe bomb at a junction near Shilo.

The Destructive Values of Diversity and Inclusivity on the Temple Mount

The absurd scene on the Temple Mount today. Look closely: there are at least 100,000 Muslims on the Mount.

The absurd scene on the Temple Mount today. Look closely: there are at least 100,000 Muslims on the Mount. What message do photos like this one send to the world about who has sovereignty on the Temple Mount–our holiest place?

Today is the last Friday of Ramadan, and the thousands of Muslims on the Temple Mount have been rioting, waving terrorist flags, shooting fireworks, and chanting “Death to Israel” since the end of the Friday prayers.

The absurdity of the situation is the absolute disconnect that our government seems to have is between its policy which facilitates the arrival of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Judea, Samaria, and Gaza to the Mount and the violence that occurs there.

Today alone, more than 73,000 Palestinians came to Jerusalem through the checkpoints between Israel and Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria.

73,000.

And of course that is not counting the tens of thousands more that have come from Israel and other countries.

The basic question is “why does Israel permit and facilitate hordes of Palestinians coming to the Mount”?

Is it freedom of religious worship? Of course not. There is no freedom of worship on the Mount.

Jews and Christians are subject to rules that prevent any sort of worship.

The real reason is that Israel permits and even encourages Muslims on the Mount is a desire to “look good” in the eyes of western self-proclaimed “progressive liberals.” Nothing is more important to these purveyors of destructive values than “diversity” and “inclusivity.”

And so Israel has adopted this viewpoint, even at the risk of putting our own security forces in mortal danger.

On that unhappy note, we wish you:

SHABBAT SHALOM!
