TODAY’S BLOG:
5 Things Your Humble Servant Will Not Write About Today
All of these stories are worth developing, but I will not write about them today:
1. You want to know why the IDF General Command is so far to the Left? The officers’ training course in Haifa yesterday compared Religious Zionism to the terrorist Hamas organization.
2. Speaking of the left, how about the Leader of the Opposition Yair Lapid meeting with the UAE FM in Paris two days ago, and then doing all he can to undermine the Biden sponsored Saudi-Israel normalization deal by urging American lawmakers to reject any American effort to help the Saudis build a nuclear power plant. I guess this marks the end of the Biden-Lapid bromance.
3. We also will not write about the fact that Israel has the 27th rated economy in the world with a GDP of 539 billion–which constitutes 0.51% of the entire world’s economy. So much for the anarchists’ hope of destroying the Israeli economy.
4. Israeli food shoppers all cheered when the giant French chair Carrefour arrived in Israel and promised lower prices. We won’t discuss how after only a few weeks, prices on hundreds of products have risen by as much as 45%. Beware of what you wish for.
5. Nor will we write about how 113 pesticides used for vegetables and fruit which are banned in the U.S. and Europe–are allowed to be used by Israeli farmers. Beware of what you eat for Shabbat.
On that note we wish you a wonderful Shabbat Shalom!
