The Absurdly Patronizing Quote of the Day
The total absurdity in the security establishment continues with reports this morning that more than 10,000 more Palestinians from Judea and Samaria will be allowed into Israel. This number will be achieved by lowering the age of those receiving a work permit from 27 to 25 years of age–precisely the age of many terrorists.
The quote from senior security officials:
“Israel should give hope to the young Palestinian generation in Judea and Samaria who lost their dignity and status due to the high unemployment rates.”
Say what?
Is it now Israel’s job to give dignity and status to the infantile Palestinians–because of high unemployment rates brought on by the corrupt PLO leadership?
Just unbelievable–but this is precise how the upper echelon of the IDF General Command thinks: the poor Palestinians are to be pitied, and it is our job as good parents to give them dignity.
Your humble servant is going to throw up.

Shooting attacks:
Palestinian terrorists fired on the IDF position at Nitzani Oz beside Tulkarm.
Palestinian terrorists fired on IDF troops at the Hawara Checkpoint.
IED, Molotov, “rock” attacks:
Palestinian terrorists tried to murder Israelis at Khobar, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road between Beit Habarka and Al Aruv, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road at the archaeological site, on Road 55 in the Nabi Elias Bypass (Israeli wounded), between Hizma and Anat, at Adam Square, Singil northeast of Ramallah, and at more than 2 dozen other locations.
The aftermath of the Tel Aviv Eritrean riots . . .
Cabinet meetings and police security assessments aside, there appears to be virtually no repercussions from the riots for those who rioted.
And why should there be? We’ve seen massive illegal demonstrations from the anti-government movement for months. Is anyone ever punished for blocking the Ayalon Freeway or other streets and roads? Is anyone ever punished for waving inflammatory placards meant to incite “protesters” to violence?
So what has been decided is that the handful of leaders of the riot will be administratively detained, and “perhaps” deported in the future.
As we wrote yesterday, no deportation will ever take place.
Another squadron of F35s . . .
The Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that it is beginning the process of ordering 25 more F35s which, when delivered, will bring the total of F35s in the Israel Air Force to 75.
This order will a long time in coming and is not expected to be completed until the early 2030s.

Israel’s Abominable Attorney General Strikes Again
In an unsurprising yet unprecedented move yesterday, Israel’s abominable Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara issued an opinion stating that the Supreme Court should throw out the “Reasonableness Amendment” to the Basic Judiciary Law.
The case will be heard next week, and Miara went to some lengths to even write the Supreme Justices opinion for them:
“The amendment locks the gates of the courts to any person or group who are harmed by the fact that the government or one of its ministers acted against them in an extremely unreasonable manner, in any context . . . In light of the serious impact of the amendment on the public and its serious consequences for the separation of powers, the rule of law, and the rights of the individual, this is an exceptional situation in which the amendments seriously damage the foundations of the democratic regime.”
What utter nonsense.
Nowhere in the Amendment is it stated that an individual or group cannot bring a case before the Court or that the Court cannot rule in their favor.
All the Amendment says is that the Justices must make their decision based on law–not on their subjective whim that something is “unreasonable” or not.
By the way, at the moment, there is no separation of powers between the Israeli branches of government.
The Court holds all the power having usurped it from the Knesset and executive branch.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
