UPDATE 9:00 PM (the last update of the day)
**245 Israeli soldiers have fallen in battle.
**According to IDF, there are approximately 162 “hostages” in Gaza–most of them Israelis, some with dual citizenships, nine with only one foreign citizenship. The IDF believes that half of them are dead–that the terrorists carried dead bodies back to Gaza and that others died from their wounds.
**There have been 21 missile barrages since our last update–mostly focused on the Gaza border communities. Here in Ashdod we have been hit twice with volleys of 8 missiles–all intercepted right over our house.
6250+ missiles have now been fired at Israel since the war began.

Quote of the Moment
“We have a lot of work to do until Hamas disappears. We have a list of everyone who participated in these heinous crimes, against our family and against the residents of the Otaf, and we will get to them – you know the Air Force and the Israel Defense Forces. “
Col. Tomer Bar, Commander of the Israel Air Force speaking this afternoon
Finally, some sanity . . .
Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir has ordered–with the approval of the Attorney General–that terrorist prisoners’ cells be overcrowded. More space will be created by removing beds and having prisoners sleep on mattresses on the floor.
A New Israel?
Yair Rabivo, the mayor of Lod just posted this message:
“Dear residents, in the morning there was an operation by the police with the Border Guards to catch illegal residents in the city. So far 420 illegal residents have been caught in Lod. Of these, 250 are residents of Gaza. All construction sites are closed and will open on Sunday without Palestinian workers.”
Every city in Israel is bulging with illegal Palestinian workers, each of which is a probable terrorist. It is long past time to seal our borders.
And so it goes here in Israel on the 6th day of what promises to be a long war.
UPDATE 4:00 PM
**220 Israeli soldiers have fallen in battle.
**493 bodies of dead Israelis have yet to be identified.
**Israeli planes have bombed the Damascus and Aleppo Airports in Syria in the last hour. An Iranian plane carrying the Iranian foreign minister was forced to turn around and return to Tehran.
**The IDF has ordered the residents of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza to abandon their homes: the order applies to about 70,000 people.
**American Secretary of State Blinken has arrived in Israel and has already held a press conference with PM Netanyahu. Blinken said that he came as an American and as a Jew.
**Terrorists from the village of Khobar in Binyamin launched an attack on Nahaliel, but were repelled by gunfire from security forces and residents.
**Israel has at least temporarily cut off water and electricity to terrorist prisoners in Israel. Hamas has accused Israel of a violation of international law. Such accusations no longer carry even a milligram of weight.
**4 PLO terrorists killed at Qusra yesterday attempted to murder children in Yitzhar several years ago.
UPDATE 12:00 PM
1,300+ Israelis have been murdered since Saturday.
3,300+ Israelis have been wounded: 350 are in critical condition.
31 more soldiers have been killed fighting for our country.
The Missiles Keep Falling
Two residents of Sderot have been critically wounded by shrapnel from missiles in the last 15 minutes.
Three Quotes
“It is important that the American people know what happened. I didn’t believe I would ever see a photo of a terrorist beheading children. We verified the photo.”
U.S. President Joe Biden
“Humanitarian aid to Gaza? No electrical switch will be turned on, no water hydrant will be opened and no fuel truck will enter until the Israeli abductees are returned home.”
Israeli Minister of Energy, Israel Katz
“We in Germany are stopping aid to the Palestinians: Abu Mazen’s silence is shameful.”
Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of Germany
Can you believe this?
If you can believe this, Israel’s Ministry of Health has been taking wounded terrorists to Israeli hospitals to be treated.
Yesterday, when the family of a woman who survived brutal rapes at the hands of terrorists discovered that a terrorist was in the room beside her, they quite rightly went berserk and tried to get to the terrorist. He was immediately moved elsewhere.
This morning, the Ministry of Health tried to take wounded terrorists to the Shaar Menashe Hospital. Hospital workers threatened to close down the hospital if he was admitted. Again, the terrorist was taken elsewhere.
Every terrorist should be taken out and shot, not treated in our hospitals.
Why not for everyone?
As terrorists continue running loose here in southern Israel, we have become increasingly infuriated at our inability to get a gun to defend ourselves.
This morning, Yossi Dagan head of the Samaria Council announced the purchase of hundreds of improved assault rifles (M16 A4s) to reinforce the security units in Samarian communities with millions of dollars in donations received from Samaria’s friends abroad.
