UPDATE 9:00 PM

347 Israeli soldiers have fallen in battle since the beginning of the war.

There is no further news from the south or north at this hour.

UPDATE 7:30 PM

Two Major Developments in the Last 90 Minutes

In the South

The last two hours have seen an unprecedented massive attack on northern Gaza from the sea, land, and air focusing on the areas of the Shifa Hospital and the Indonesian Hospital. The IDF has taken control of the entire beach area of northern Gaza.

In the North

There has been a missile barrage from Lebanon on Kiryat Shmona with 6 direct hits. Other attacks have taken place in Metula and along the border. The residents of northern Israel have been ordered to their bomb shelters. At least one Israeli civilian was killed earlier in the day.

UPDATE 6:00 PM

Mortars and missiles since 11:30 am in the South:

Sufa, Nir Yitzhak (17:03); Raim (17:01); Holit (16:58); Beersheva (16:51); Sderot (16:01); Kissufim (15:18); Kerem Shalom (15:07); Mivathim (15:00); Netivot (12:56).

Mortars and missiles since 11:30 am in the North:

UPDATE 11:30 AM

It is perfectly obvious that in this egregiously anti-Semitic world in which we live, Israel has lost the PR war. As if there was ever a PR war to be contested. A particularly telling piece of data this morning comes from the Reform Judaism movement in the U.S.

Even in the immediate aftermath of the massacres on October 7, 28% of Reform Jews did not sympathize with Israel. With this in mind, is it any wonder that we see Reform American Jews on the front lines of protests against Israel now. Or that we see the massive pro-HamISIS demonstrations by Jews and non-Jews in such places as Washington, London, Berlin or Vienna?

Here in Israel we well remember former PM Golda Meir’s famous quotation:

“If we have to have a choice between being dead and pitied, and being alive with a bad image, we’d rather be alive and have the bad image.”

Also here in Israel, we thank G-d for the many steadfast friends we do have around the world especially our many Christian friends.

The Scope of Targets

Since the beginning of the war, the IAF has hit more than 2,500 targets in HamISIS Gaza.

Mortars and Missiles Fired So Far Today

In the South:

Raim (10:40), Mivtahim (08:03); Mivtahim (07:13)

In the North:

Matat (09:32)

In Judea and Samaria

Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF soldiers in Abu Dis and in Hevron. One terrorist was killed in each location.

Palestinian terrorists detonated an IED beside a military vehicle near Qalqilya.

About Those Propaganda Maps of a Dwindling “Palestine”

Through the years, the PLO and HamISIS have cranked out millions of propaganda maps purporting to show how “Palestine” has shrunk since 1948. PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is particularly proud of displaying this propaganda at the U.N. and in any other venue which he finds himself.

Of course, the maps are a fraud:

fake map

There never was a country of Palestine. In 1946, the land called “Judea and Samaria” by the United Nations was controlled by the British under Mandate. In 1947, the Arabs rejected the U.N. Partition Plan. From 1949-1967, Judea and Samaria was under Jordan, and Gaza was under Egypt. From the 1967 war until the Oslo Accords in 1995, the entire area was Israel.

The green areas now are areas created for the Palestinians under Oslo.

Thanks to Amir Tsarfati for creating the above real map.

UPDATE 8:00 AM

In last night’s final missile attack on central Israel, 15 interceptions were recorded–the greatest number in one barrage in that area since the war began.

A Long War

Multiple reports indicate that when PM Netanyahu says that this war will be “long”, he means that the defeat of HamISIS will take at least six months” The IDF believes that even after HamISIS is essentially dismantled, the next phase of the war will be a prolonged insurgency effort by the terrorists–who will continue coming out of tunnels for the foreseeable future.

Action Overnight

IDF Special Forces conducted raids deep into Gaza City last night–some within 2 km of the Shifa Hospital, the location of HamISIS headquarters.

Meanwhile in the North, the IDF spokesman reports that “IDF warplanes attacked military infrastructures of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanese territory, after a number of launches from Lebanese territory were detected as well as anti-tank fire towards the Metula area.”

About The Ambulances

Israel has come under much criticism for targeting an ambulance two days ago that was arriving at the Shifa Hospital. Never mind that the ambulance was full of HamISIS terrorists who were being ferried to the tunnels under the hospital.

Click here to watch a short video of HamISIS terrorists destroying an Israeli ambulance on October 7 with an RPG and killing our paramedics inside.

Concerning IDF Deaths

It is an obvious fact that if Israel decided to flatten Gaza not one single IDF soldier would die. The only reason we do not is to protect the lives of Palestinian “civilians.”

Thus far, 29 IDF soldiers have been killed battles in Gaza–primarily from anti-tank missiles fired by HamISIS terrorists under the cover of the buildings that were not bombed before the ground forces entered.

And still we put our soldiers at risk . . . The IDF has announced that the humanitarian corridor for Palestinians in Gaza to pass from north to south will be open from 10 am-2pm today. When the corridor was opened yesterday, HamISIS took the opportunity to open fire on our soldiers with RPGs and assault weapons.

Obscene Protests Last Night

It is obscene enough the anti-government movement has begun protesting in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem against PM Netanyahu again.

But last night in Jerusalem, those protests were even more obscene as the “protesters” yelled at policemen “Where were you in Kfar Aza on October 7?”

Where were the policemen and policewomen on October 7?

Bravely fighting to save whomever they could. 58 policemen and policewomen were murdered by the terrorists. One wonders where the “protesters” were?
