On the Ground in the South

*The number of hostages is back up to 136.

However, we now know that at least 15 of these “hostages” are dead. One would think that it would be more illuminating to have two lists: one of “possible live hostages” and the other of “known dead”. By counting the “dead” as hostages, Israel creates a situation of a “dead body to live terrorist” equivalence in any possible hostage deal.

*A number of soldiers were seriously wounded today; often when the IDF reports “seriously”, it actually means “critically”:

–Two fighters in the 94th Battalion, Kafir Brigade, were seriously injured today (Thursday) in a battle in southern Gaza.

–A fighter in the 931st Battalion, the Nahal Brigade, was seriously injured yesterday (Wednesday) in a battle in northern Gaza.

–A reservist in the 7421st Battalion, the ‘Kariyiti’ Brigade (4), was seriously injured yesterday (Wednesday) in a battle in southern Gaza.

–A reserve fighter in Battalion 6261, Brigade 261, was seriously injured yesterday (Wednesday) in a battle in southern Gaza.

*In the fighting today, HamISIS terrorist launched an anti-aircraft missile at an IAF helicopter. The helicopter used its onboard Norim system to evade the missile, but then the missile hit a health clinic in Kibbutz Nirim. Fortunately no Israelis were wounded.

In the North

Two missile attacks occurred today: one at Dotev (21:47); the other at Tzfat (where a missile was intercepted.

In Iran

Just as we had already speculated, ISIS has come forward to take responsibility for the explosions at the tomb of Soleimani which killed more than 1oo Iranians.

Of course, this claim will not stop the Iranians for blaming Israel because they will now ludicrously say that ISIS and Israel were working together.

The Fraud of “Settler Violence” In Judea and Samaria

According to Dr. Michael Wolfowitz of the Law Faculty of Hebrew University, the canard of “settler violence” is even worse than we have previously reported. As you know, the Biden Administration, the E.U., and the U.N. have all jumped on the bandwagon of condemning Israel using the “settler violence” fraud.

It turns out that, believe it or not, the following have been classified as “settler violence” by the United Nations:

*Palestinians killed or wounded by soldiers or civilians during the commission of an attack on Israelis.

*Attacks by Palestinians on Jewish community members.

*IDF firing of rubber bullets and tear gas at Palestinian rioters.

*Jews and tourists going to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

For example in regard to the last point, the U.N. recorded 5,656 incidents of “settler violence” against Palestinians between 2016 and 2022: 23% of these were Jews or tourists simply going up to the Temple Mount and walking across it. 

Just unbelievable.
