UPDATE 10:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

On the Ground in Gaza

*Another day, more missiles from Gaza–this time targeting Nirim and Ein Hashlosha at 18:01.

Two missiles were fired; no Israelis were wounded.

*Deir al-Balah Mayor Diab al-Jaro was killed in an Israeli attack on the municipality building; 9 other Hamasniks were also killed.

*Yesterday was the 37th anniversary of the founding of Hamas.

The IDF spokesman in Arabic, Avichai Adraee, published: “Every beginning has an end… and every terrorist group like Hamas ends in shame and disgrace. The Hamas terrorist organization wanted to celebrate its birthday today, but there was no celebration–just a collapse. Its followers are falling in surrender before our forces in Gaza, while the residents of Gaza express their deep resentment of this evil movement and long for their own liberation from its criminal grip.”

On the Ground In Syria

*The IAF hit more than 60 targets in Syria overnight from the northern port Latakia to Dara’a near the Golan Heights in the south:

*A Lebanese source says that the rebels have seized huge Hezbollah warehouses in Syria, which include massive quantities of anti-tank missiles.

Getting Out And About

Despite the wars, the National Parks Service said that “more than 70,000 Israelis took advantage of the sunny weather and visited nature reserves and national parks across the country. Among the most notable parks: Caesarea National Park, Tel Afek National Park and Ein Hemed National Park. Sites in the north of the country, some of which had been closed for more than a year due to the fighting, hosted thousands of visitors during Shabbat. Among the most notable sites in the north: Ein Afek Nature Reserve, Hula Nature Reserve and Nahal Hermon-Banias Nature Reserve.”

And so it goes in Israel this morning . . . so far . . .
