Quote of the Day:

“The goal of the New Israel Fund is to create hatred against Judaism . . . by spreading absolute lies.”

Education Minister Naftali Bennett yesterday

Bennett was particularly irate because he said that the NIF published a document saying that the Education Ministry only spends $10 million shekels a year on science and technology when in fact the amount is $4 billion shekels. More than this, the NIF claimed that evolution is not being taught in Israeli schools when in fact it is being taught in every school–including religious schools.

Picture of the Day:

Workers sifting through the wreckage of the Mezza Airport in Syria yesterday. The Syrians still insist the attack was actually a technical malfunction. Note the control tower still standing in the background.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

On the Gaza border:

A major terror attack was thwarted when a group of four armed Palestinian terrorists who had already infiltrated the southern Gaza border fence was captured by IDF soldiers.

In Judea and Samaria:

A stabbing attack was thwarted at the Qalandiya Checkpoint when alert security guards captured a Palestinian woman armed with a knife.

Elsewhere, numerous “rock” and Molotov attacks occurred as reported by residents to rotter, hakolhayehudi, Rescue 443, and Rescue Judea and Samaria. Some of those attacks occurred at or near:

Beit Sira, Deir Nizam, at various locations on Road 443, Luban a-Sharqiya, Gilboa, Migdalim, Tekoa Junction, Kevis Junction, south Hevron Hills, the Alon Junction, and Hevron.

A great idea . . .

As the western world continues to turn somersaults over the Trump decision to defund UNRWA, a good proposal is being put forward this morning.

The idea is that the 3.5 million shekels that Israel has been donating to UNRWA will now be used to “increase awareness of Jewish heritage in Hevron and Kiryat Arba.”

What a great idea!

John Kerry.

Need we say more?

Well maybe . . . your humble servant has been struck during the last few days with the continuing hubris of the former American Secretary of State as he makes the rounds promoting his new book.

Here are a few snippets from Kerry:
Women can just lay down and if things do not work properly, they can use some lube to make it slippery and make you feel comfortable about the purchase, be knowledgeable about the drugs they buy and consume contrary to the common belief that ED is now also common among young men in their generico levitra on line 20s. Therefore, you can include foods like eggs, meat, fish, sunflower seeds, onion, grains, mushrooms, tomato, broccoli, spinach, sample of viagra kiwi, grapefruit, orange juice, red pepper, nuts, shellfish and Brazil nuts. There are innumerable products available viagra tabs in markets as well as online medical stores. A research shows that 69% pill sildenafil of Americans usually take herbal products, vitamins and minerals and or any known natural health products.

From an interview on the American television Jewish heritage in Hevron and Kiryat Arba program on CBS:

*In response to a question about whether his meeting with Iranian FM Mohammad Zarif in May was an attempt to undermine President Trump’s decision to change U.S. policy on Iran, Kerry said:

“I was trying to have the policy of the United States of America which was part of the agreement to continue and common sense to continue . . . I spoke out, and I will always exercise my right to speak out.”

–>Funny, your humble servant thought that John Kerry was no longer Secretary of State and as a private citizen he is prohibited for negotiating from the U.S. by the Logan Act. He spoke out? He met privately with Zarif and was only outed when a picture emerged of them together in Paris.

*From the same interview, in response to Trump calling the Iranian Appeasement Agreement the worst deal he has ever seen:

“This is the toughest agreement in terms of inspection, accountability, what Iran was required to do, with the greatest visibility for the longest period of time of any nuclear agreement on the planet.”

–>Astonishing. The Agreement calls for Iran to inspect itself, and should an international observation team want to inspect any part of the Iranian nuclear program, that team must request permission 30 days in advance.

From his new book:

*He blasts PM Netanyahu for not being interested in peace:

“[Netanyahu told me] I’m willing to give this effort a try, but there are two things you should know. First, everyone in this region lies all the time, and second, the most I can do may be less than the least Abbas could ever accept.”

–>What Netanyahu says shows a person not interested in peace? All this quote shows is that Netanyahu is a realist, and that he knows that the Palestinians will never be satisfied.

*He reveals what he and Obama were really up to in Judea and Samaria–and again blasts Netanyahu for rejecting the Obama-Kerry offer to put U.S. troops on the border with “Palestine” following a withdrawal of all IDF soldiers from the “West Bank”:

“It was now clear to all of us that Bibi was not interested in actually addressing the security questions in a way that could allow for the eventual withdrawal of the IDF.”

–>As we have known all along, what Obama and Kerry really wanted was the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Judea and Samaria and the elimination of all IDF troops there.

*He discusses why he and Obama decided not to veto UN Security Council resolution 2334 in December 2016–just before Obama left office:

“President-elect Trump had announced he was going to appoint an ambassador to Israel who was a hard-core proponent of the settlements and an avowed opponent of the two-state solution. At the same time, the Israelis had shown themselves to be completely disdainful of our policy by starting a process of formally legalizing outposts… We could not defend in the UN Israeli actions that amounted to a massive and unprecedented acceleration of the settlement enterprise. . . We all understood the political firestorm we would face if we didn’t veto the resolution… There were some who argued for sucking it up because it wasn’t worth the political price. President Obama wasn’t willing to make a decision that he thought was counter to U.S. interests simply because of the politics.”

–>A massive and unprecedented acceleration of the settlement enterprise?

What in the world is Kerry talking about? There has been virtually no construction in Judea and Samaria for over a decade.

President Obama only had U.S. interests at heart and not politics?

What U.S. interests? The Obama-Kerry team was all about politics all the time.

By the way, in response to another question on his book tour yesterday, Kerry refused to rule out running for president in 2020.
