The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
4 Molotovs at motorists on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road south of the Karmi Tzur Junction; Molotovs at a bus on Road 446 near Shukba; “rocks” thrown at a student bus in Huwara near Einbus Square; “rocks” and Molotovs hurled at Israelis near Singil; a Molotov thrown at a bus on Road 55 near Nabi Elias; two terrorists with machine guns captured near the Yitzhar Junction: these were but a few of the many Palestinian terror attacks that occurred yesterday in Judea and Samaria.
Homeland Security Minister Amar Bar-Lev’s ongoing fiasco . . .
Bar-Lev keeps going from bad to worse. His latest idiotic statement came in the form a tweet in which he referred to the “murdered” terrorist in Beersheva.
First, he didn’t know that the terrorist had been killed, and now he thinks the terrorist was “murdered.”
Bar-Lev has become a pathetic joke. In an attempt to cover his hind end, he fired his spokesman today.
Why is he still in office?
The daily Corona update . . .
12,005 new cases of Corona were confirmed yesterday bringing to 70,700 the total number of Israelis with an active case of Covid-19.
The positive test rate was 17.9%.
300 Israelis are in serious condition in hospitals with another 149 in critical condition on ventilators.
10,460 Israelis have died of Corona–5 since yesterday.
The news from the neighborhood . . .
There are reports from Saudi television tonight that Hezbollah is providing 200 fighters for Russia to use in Ukraine.
In return, Russia is going to provide weapons to Hezbollah.
For use against ______ (you can fill in the blank).

The Comedy Junket Routine In Jerusalem
The ongoing effort by PM Bennett, FM Lapid, and “Defense” Minister Gantz to one-up each other continues unabated.
The latest round of one-upmanship comes with regard to India–where PM Bennett announced he was heading on April 2. Why is he suddenly going to Delhi? Supposedly “to commemorate 30 years of diplomatic relations between India and Israel.”
What a joke. The truth is that Bennett is flying anywhere and everywhere to get out of Israel where problems beset him and where the popularity he never had has plummeted even lower.
But wait . . . this morning comes the farcical news that “Defense” Minister Gantz–apparently without telling Bennett— will arrive in India three days before Bennett.
It is almost impossible to keep up with all the gallivanting that Bennett, Lapid, Gantz and their large entourages have done in the last few months. Egypt, Russia, Scotland, Morocco, Jordan, Bahrain, the U.S., Germany, the U.A.E, France, have been just a few of the stops. There is even talk today that Bennett will soon be heading for Turkey.
Who pays the millions of shekels to fund all these junkets?
Israeli taxpayers like your humble servant.
Shabbat Shalom!
