U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has arrived in Israel after a somewhat harrowing ride through Alexandria, Egypt where protesters pelted her motorcade with tomatoes and shoes while shouting “Monica, Monica” (referring to Monica Lewinsky). On Saturday night, anti-Islamist Egyptian protesters outside Clinton’s hotel accused the U.S. of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise to power in Egypt.
In a meeting with an Egyptian Christian group concerned that Islamists will persecute them, Clinton dissembled: “we [the U.S.] have not supported any candidate, any party, and we will not.” What a joke.

As you may or may not know, dear reader, any Palestinian who sells land to “a Jew” is usually arrested, “tried” the same day on charges of “corruption”, and summarily shot.
However, yesterday, it was reported by Palestinian sources that the Palestinian “police” short-circuited the already short process of executing land sellers.
Osama Hassan Mansour, a 63 year old (alternately reported as 49) retired Palestinian police officer, died on Sunday after being pushed out of a window from the third floor of the Palestinian police headquarters in Ramallah.
According to one Palestinian source, Mansour was being investigated “on suspicion of having manipulated land records and selling land to Israel.” A second Palestinian source laughingly observed: “He fell from a building and died, but we do not know if he fell or was pushed.”
Terrorism is of course no laughing matter, and this incident puts into stark relief one form of terrorism that Palestinians commit against their own people–a terrorism that tortures and murders “suspects” who have been rounded up and are “in detention.”
By the way, it was from one of the second floor windows of the same Palestinian police station in Ramallah that the tortured and mutilated (eyes gouged out and disemboweled) bodies of Israeli reserve soldiers and friends Vadim Nurzhitz and Yossi Avrahami were thrown out on October 12, 2000.

The soldiers had taken a wrong turn and had been taken to the police station for “detention”.
But back to Mansour. . . his body was taken to the Institute for Forensic Medicine in Abu Dis yesterday afternoon–where the Palestinian doctor performing the autopsy will undoubtedly discover that Mansour “slipped out of the window”, or “died while trying to escape.”
***Addendum: news reports in the last few hours concerning Mansour are even more Casablanca-esque with Palestinian sources now claiming that he committed suicide by jumping to his death.
