UPDATE 10 am Israel time Friday:
Two rockets were fired from Gaza by Palestinian Hamas terrorists at the residents of southern Israel last night. Both struck in the Eshkol region. No further information is available.
Events in Syria continue to be closely monitored by the IDF.
TODAY’S BLOG:
All of Israel has pulled together and is mourning today the dead who came home from Bulgaria last night. Upon their arrival, those killed in the gruesome attack in Burgas received full military honors at Ben Gurion airport. They were just ordinary Israelis out for a long weekend.
Itzik Kolengi (28) and his wife Gilat of Petah Tikvah had just celebrated the birth of their first daughter, Noya, four months ago and were spending the weekend in Burgas celebrating Kolengi’s birthday with their friends.
Those friends were Amir Menashe (28) and his wife Natali who have a 10 month old son. Both husbands were killed because they were packing their luggage onto the bus; both wives survived (Gilat was seriously wounded while Natali was lightly wounded).
Maor Harush (25) of Akko was an electrician who was going to Burgas with his two best friends.
Elior Priess (26), a student, had been Harush’s friend since childhood–and they died together. Their other friend Daniel Fahima was severely injured but survived.
Described by her sister as an “amazing woman who was crazy about children”, Kochava Shikri (42) of Rishon LeZion had just recently found out that after years of fertility treatments, she was pregnant with her first child. She and her husband Yitzhak were sitting in the fourth row of the bus when the 10kg of explosives blew her apart.
As was reported last night on this blog, all evidence points to Iran and Hezbollah as having carried out this barbaric terrorism.
In all, there have been 20 attempted attacks by Iran and its proxy Hezbollah on Israeli civilians in the last 18 months. Before the events in Burgas, the most recent attempt had been 12 days ago in Cyprus. Acting on information supplied by Mossad, Cypriot police arrested a 24 year old Swedish Muslim citizen of Lebanese descent who has since admitted to the Cypriots that he is an agent of Hezbollah.
In Burgas, the story is remarkably similar.

Before, the levitra brand cheap tools that cure erectile dysfunction are tacky and not very usable.
Mohammed Mehdi Ghezali, another Swedish Muslim citizen (though his Swedish nationality is denied by Swedish authorities today) whose mother was Finnish and father Algerian has been identified by various authorities as the bomber.
If you would like to read about Ghezali’s bizarre life as a common criminal and as an international terrorist–and the incredible failures of security agencies in multiple countries regarding Ghezali, as well as the absurd part that Western “human rights” institutions played in helping him–click here.
How such a man–who has committed criminal and terrorist acts from Portugal to Pakistan and Afghanistan–could have been allowed to be traveling freely around Europe and be in a position to receive explosives from Hezbollah and murder Israelis defies understanding and underscores the danger that all of us face.
Last night, it was Government Minister Stas Misezhnikov who served as the government’s representative at Ben Gurion airport. He spoke for Israel when he said to the families of the dead: “We stand before these five caskets and our hearts bleed. Words cannot offer any true comfort… They were killed for the simple sin of being Israeli and Jewish.”
Addendum: Yesterday, while ‘winkingly’ denying Iranian involvement in the terrorism in Bulgaria, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad smirked: “the Zionist enemy attempts to hit Iran with blow after blow and is hit harder.” Little does he understand the nature of Israelis. Of course what happened in Burgas was a “hard hit”–but Israeli unity, spirit, and resolve is immeasurably strengthened each time a “Burgas” happens. The hope in Israel today is that PM Netanyahu will act, and act decisively, to stop the wave of Iranian and Hezobollah terror directed against Israelis around the world.
