UPDATES 8 am Israel time, Tuesday, October 15 2013:
*UNICEF proudly announced yesterday that it had forced Israel to begin using “alternative treatment” for Palestinian “children” who heretofore have been tried in military courts in Judea and Samaria.
Never mind that the “children” who are tried are 16, 17 and 18-year-old men who have been throwing Molotov cocktails and “rocks” at Israeli civilians causing severe injuries and deaths (think most recently of the case of 3-year-old Adele Biton who has been in a coma-like state since mid-March when the car her mother was driving was hit by rocks thrown by 16 and 17-year-old Palestinian terrorists) . . .
And never mind that Israel has been attempting to follow international law which suggests that terrorists in Judea and Samaria should not be tried in Israeli criminal courts because that would imply Israeli sovereignty over the area—never mind any of that, UNICEF has full-throatedly swallowed the Palestinian line with not a care in the world for the Israeli victims of these “children”, and Israel has succumbed once again to international pressure.
For those of you in the United States, remember the actions of UNICEF when trick or treaters come to your door on Halloween in two weeks seeking donations for UNICEF.
*13 Jewish worshipers were arrested yesterday on the Temple Mount for the crimes of waving the Israeli flag, singing Hatikvah (the Israeli national anthem), and praying (by bowing down). Despite the fact that the Israel Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that Jews have the rights of religious freedom and freedom of speech on the Temple Mount, the Netanyahu government and its minions in the Jerusalem Police refuse to recognize any Jewish rights on the Mount.
TODAY’S BLOG:
By now, most of you dear readers have undoubtedly read about the Council of Europe’s recent resolution describing male circumcision as “a violation of the physical integrity of children” and a violation of the children’s “human rights.” This resolution is just one more precursor to laws that will eventually make Judaism non-existent on the continent of Europe.
In the meantime, Israeli lawmakers are rushing to fill the need by putting in place procedures that will enable Israeli embassies in European countries to hold circumcision ceremonies there. But once again, this will only be a temporary measure as Jewish presence in Europe dwindles.
Another event occurred yesterday that will also give Israelis something to think about before hopping on a plane to Europe.
Maj. Gen. (res.) Eli Marom was detained and held for questioning when he arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport.
But today, modern medicine has enabled us to use these herbs and india cheap cialis get satisfying results too. Gen. Marom, as you may not know, was the commander of the Israeli Navy during Operation Cast Lead back in 2009 and at the time that the Turkish terrorist ship Mavi Marmara was legally boarded and stopped as it attempted to reach Gaza.
As you also may not know, European security officials now have a list of hundreds and perhaps thousands of Israeli military officers and soldiers accused of “war crimes” supplied to them by private organizations that support the Palestinians. From the highest ranking officers such as Marom to the lowest ranking foot-soldiers, these Israeli citizens are now becoming subject to detention and arrest or deportation.
What was particularly odd, however, about yesterday’s event at Heathrow was that it was not supposed to happen. Two years ago Britain changed its universal jurisdiction law which had permitted private citizens to obtain “war crime” warrants for international travelers to Britain. At the time, the amended law made it possible for Tzipi Livni (who was Israeli Foreign Minister during Operation Cast Lead) to enter Britain.
But apparently, the amendment to the law did not stop British authorities yesterday nor will it stop them in the future.
The day is coming when all Israelis will be persona non grata in Europe.
Addendum: Maj. Gen. Marom was eventually released yesterday after he made repeated calls to Tzipi Livni’s Justice Ministry in Israel.
