UPDATES 10:00 am Israel time, Saturday, November 23 2013:
**With Chinese, American, and Russian diplomats all flying into Geneva today, it appears that an agreement with the Iranians is imminent.
If there was ever any doubt about the collusion between Washington and Tehran, it was dispelled yesterday with the news on Israeli television that Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s closest advisor, has been in secret negotiations with the Iranians for at least the last four months (the reality is that Jarrett has been making overtures and offering deals to the Iranians since Obama first took office in 2009).
In fact, the reason that Washington was thunderstruck two weeks ago when France temporarily torpedoed the “Iranian agreement” was because it was the agreement that Jarrett and the Iranians had reached.
On a side note: it was reported yesterday that the U.S.–while negotiating with Iran on the nuclear issue–has indicated that it now considers Hezbollah to “a legitimate political movement” and is willing to talk to the group regarding “problems in the region.”
**Following the seismic shift of Egypt away from the United States and toward Russia because of the support for the Muslim Brotherhood pouring out of the Obama White House, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry disingenuously and belatedly declared yesterday that the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood had “hijacked” the Egyptian Revolution and that the Egyptian Army was returning the country to democracy.
What a joke John Kerry has become.
Unfortunately for him, President Obama, and for others in the region, this is like trying to close the barn door after the horse has already escaped. The American ship has sailed, and Russia is the new king of the hill in the Middle East.
**Speaking of Egypt, the Egyptian army has blocked all roads leading from Egypt into the Sinai in advance of a new campaign against the terrorist groups operating in the northern Sinai. Yesterday, the most wanted terrorist in the Sinai was captured by Egyptian troops.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Build, build, build. Establish facts on ground. The settlement project in the “West Bank” continues operating full bore. From the areas around Pisgat Ze’ev and Shuafat in northern Jerusalem to Ramallah and Jenin, hundreds of illegal outposts and settlements are being constructed every day and every night with the complete complicity of the international community.

And right under the noses of the Israeli government which seems paralyzed to stop them.
All of these illegal settlements are Palestinian.
For example, remember the E1 area between Maaleh Adumim and Jerusalem that is so controversial? Every time there is any hint of planning for construction there (or anywhere else) on the part of Israelis, the world turns backflips and somersaults–and everyone from the European Union to the United States to the United Nations to the PLO rushes to the microphone to see who can condemn Israel first.
An investigation this past week* indicates that Palestinian settlements are now springing up between Maaleh Adumim and Highway 1 as it stretches down to the Dead Sea. All of these structures–along with thousands of others–have been built and are being built in Area C of Judea and Samaria which is supposedly under complete Israeli control.
As one Israeli official noted: “The situation on the ground is unbearable; the Palestinian Authority is promoting construction of hundreds of structures in Area C but there is no one to supervise and enforce the law.”
The sad fact is that Israeli security forces rarely enforce the law because they allow themselves to be hamstrung by political correctness and left-wing NGOs who file endless suits to block the demolition of every single structure.
But where is the international castigation? Where are the cries of “illegitimate” and “illegal”?
Not suprisingly, nowhere to be heard.
