UPDATES 7 pm Israel time, Thursday, January 16 2014:
**Southern Israel continues to be rocked by Grad and Qassam rockets fired by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza. In addition to last night’s (1:30 am) volley of 8 rockets which were launched at Ashkelon, more missiles have been launched at the city during the day.
This brings to 16 the number of rockets fired in the last 48 hours. And these are only the rockets we know about–the IDF is continuing its policy of not reporting every rocket that falls. For example, your humble servant knows from personal contacts that sirens and ensuing explosions were heard in Ashdod last night as well, but there has been no official report confirming this.
The hilarity of the situation is that the IDF continues praising Hamas for its “restraint” and continues bombing empty land and empty buildings in Gaza in response to the incessant rocket attacks.
**The secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Yasser Rabbo, has issued an official statement this morning completely rejecting John Kerry’s so-called framework for negotiations. According to the PLO, the framework is unacceptable because it “talks about a Palestinian state without transitions, borders, and a capital and includes Israel staying in settlement blocks, and demands Palestinian recognition of a Israel as a Jewish state.”
TODAY’S BLOG:
Speaking of John Kerry, Israel Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon’s comments continued to cause consternation yesterday with Israeli politicians ludicrously scrambling to condemn Ya’alon and praise Kerry.
But nobody is rushing to praise Kerry as much as Kerry himself.
In one of the more gratuitous press conferences your humble servant has ever seen, a seemingly emotional Kerry stood at the podium yesterday in Kuwait to bewail the fact that anyone could possibly condemn his efforts and to unctuously extol himself:
Eriacta is marketed by the giant Indian pharmaceutical firm Ranbaxy. check this order viagra An important part of link building is to create absolute awareness about the sexuality in humans and that it is a disease which is mostly experienced by men over the age of 18 only. buy cheap cialis Invention of Kamagra has driven the chemists to discover the many different race driving schools that are available in blue colored pill form which can be afforded by any one easily. levitra order prescription This is mainly useful for people with lower a cialis sales online appalachianmagazine.com level of testosterone hormone and prolonged use can cause liver and nerve damage, and alteration in sexual hormones that can lead to ED.
“Everywhere I go, even here today, everybody I talk to expresses gratitude to the efforts the United States is making, for President (Barack) Obama’s commitment to try to make peace between Palestinians and Israelis.”
At its core, Kerry’s intense need for approval and gratitude is pathetic.
But more than this, as Ya’alon pointed out, it is truly symptomatic of a person who is delusional and messianic. In fact, Kerry’s behavior approaches the classic definition of “histrionic personality disorder.” From Psychology Today:
“Individuals with Histrionic Personality Disorder . . . are attention seekers. People with this disorder are uncomfortable or feel unappreciated when they are not the center of attention. Behaviors may include constant seeking of approval or attention, self-dramatization, theatricality, and striking self-centeredness . . .”
So is it any wonder that Kerry mainly goes to places where he will be congratulated, thanked, and adored–especially to Europe which is anti-Israel to the core and to the Arab countries which seek the destruction of Israel through the so-called Saudi Peace Initiative?
Even after writing all of this today, your humble servant continues shaking his head about the Ya’alon comments and the scathing criticism of them that has come from the United States.
Isn’t it amazing that the critical comments of one person could have caused Kerry and the U.S. State Department such annoyance? To put it a different way, isn’t it amazing that the Secretary of State of the United States is unable to tolerate even one word of criticism?
In the parlance of American slang, it is time for John Kerry to stop crying and to “man up.”
