The rocket assault on southern Israel continues unabated–with the difference that it is now coming from two directions. Eilat is being hit from the Sinai, and the Gaza Border communities are constantly running to their bomb shelters to escape rockets from Palestinian terrorists in Gaza.
The strikes on Eilat have already begun having an effect on tourism as the most recent rockets have actually hit buildings in the tourist area. At the same time, four more rockets from Gaza have struck southern Israel near the Gaza Border–most recently less than an hour ago. Perhaps most ominous, however, was the IED attack on IDF troops near the Gaza fence this morning.
While the IDF seems to have endless tolerance for rocket attacks on southern Israeli citizens, it has little tolerance for IED attacks on its own soldiers.
