**In light of past Palestinian terrorism on Passover, yesterday was relatively quiet. Two Hamas infiltrators from Gaza were captured in the Eshkol Region at the Gaza perimeter fence. Arabs attacked Border Guards in Jerusalem with “rocks” and Molotov cocktails, and other Arabs assaulted Israelis on the Mt. of Olives with Molotov cocktails.
**Speaking of Gaza . . . The London Sunday Telegraph reported yesterday that Iran has renewed its ties with Hamas in Gaza and is “sending tens of millions of dollars” to Hamas’ military wing to rebuild the network of tunnels that run under the Palestinian state. In addition, Iran is smuggling some of its newest missiles into Gaza–missiles designed to overcome Israel’s Iron Dome system by virtue of their speed and higher orbit.
**Speaking of Palestinian terrorists and terrorism . . . PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas warned yesterday that “terrorism and extremism” will soon reach Israel” unless Israel accepts the Arab Peace Initiative–an initiative that calls on more than five million UNRWA declared “refugees” to be returned to Israel.
**As reported on israelstreet for the last two days, major discrepancies exist between Iran and the U.S. insofar as the Lausanne Agreement:
Iran says that the P5+1 agreed to lift all sanctions immediately; the U.S. claims that the lifting will be gradual.
Iran says that nuclear development and research will continue at the underground Fordo site as usual; the U.S. claims that all work there will be halted.
Iran says that all uranium that it has already refined will remain in the country; the U.S. claims that it will be shipped outside.
Iran says that it has made no commitment to describe the military aspects of its nuclear program; the U.S. claims that it has.

TODAY’S BLOG:
Alas . . . the “poor Palestinians” . . .
In the West, one always hears self-proclaimed “human rights” advocates talking about Israel’s “siege of Gaza”. They always like to say, without one scintilla of information, that Israel is somehow strangling the “poor Palestinians.” It is a vicious canard which is also continually perpetuated by the European Union and the United Nations–especially UNRWA.
As readers of israelstreet already know, Israel is the only place from which goods actually flow into Gaza–especially since Egypt has virtually closed down the Rafah Crossing.
Just how many goods you may ask?
This morning the Palestinian Research and Planning Division released these figures (which you might want to use when you hear someone spouting Gaza nonsense in the future):
53,957 truckloads of goods were transported into Gaza from Israel in 2014. December set an all-time record with 6,758 trucks.
1.45 billion dollars worth of goods were carried on the above trucks. In all, 26% of Gaza’s food was trucked in, 25% of its fuel, 23% of raw and construction materials, 6% of machinery, 6% of medical supplies, and 2% of beverages and tobacco.
Remember that these statistics are Palestinian statistics.
Oh, and by the way, I almost forgot: 156,552 tons of concrete were trucked in as were 2,270 tons of steel, and 31,584 tons of asphalt. Given the update above about Iranian funding of tunnel rehabilitation, one wonders how much of this was paid for by Tehran.
Oh, and really by the way, I almost forgot: none of these truckloads includes the electricity and water that the “poor Palestinians” in the Palestinian state of Gaza get from Israel for free because they refuse to pay for it.
Alas . . . the “poor Palestinians” . . .
