**PM Netanyahu has been “asking” the provisional government today to increase the number of ministers from 18 to “unlimited” so that he can dole out more positions to his cronies in Likud. The thought is that he will increase the number from 18 to 20 by adding two “ministers without portfolio”–meaning two ministers in name only but with all the perks of a real minister.
**The Israeli media is obsessed with three items these days:
First, it is frantically pushing the idea that Isaac Herzog will join Netanyahu and form a “unity government”. This notion is being propagated despite every indication and statement to the contrary. The bottom line is that the Israeli “left” still cannot believe that Herzog lost the recent election.
Second, it is frantically trying to find cracks in the new Netanyahu coalition. There are suggestions that Netanyahu is already looking for a way to dump Bennett and Shaked out of the government. The bottom line is the same one as above.
Third, it is continuing the withering anti-Netanyahu attacks that marked the election campaign. The media has become become nothing more than a caricature lacking any substance whatsoever.
**The collusion between Palestinian terrorists and anti-Israel NGOs was never more apparent than today when Hamas asked the world to use the fraudulent “Breaking the Silence Report” to haul Israeli soldiers into criminal court for war crimes.
The Breaking the Silence NGO is primarily a group of disenchanted, former IDF soldiers who are now making a living by traveling the world and telling anyone who will pay them how terrible the Israel military is. Its recent “Report” takes military actions performed in last summer’s war with Hamas out of context and accuses numerous IDF soldiers of war crimes.
The irony of Hamas accusing anyone of war crimes is indescribable.
The good news is that another group of IDF soldiers who served in the Gaza war have now started an anti-Breaking the Silence facebook page which is being heavily read and supported.
TODAY’S BLOG:
The world and Israel have gone crazy with political correctness. Following the lead of governments that refuse to call anything “terrorism”, police forces everywhere have become beset by the inability to call a terrorist “a terrorist”.
As you probably know, four buses in Copenhagen were set on fire the other day and an anti-Israel message was scrawled on one of them. This came a few days after bus authorities removed ads from the buses calling on Danes to boycott goods from “Israeli settlements.”
Here was the amazing news article that appeared the day afterwards (emphasis mine):
—————
Four buses burned down and several others were vandalised by anti-Israel graffiti at an Arriva bus garage in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen last night.
The police are still investigating whether the buses were set ablaze on purpose, and they wouldn’t speculate on whether the incident was connected to the controversial advertisements calling for a boycott of goods from Israeli settlements, which Movia removed from 35 of its buses last week.
“I can say we have encountered some vandalism out there where there is written ‘Boycott Israel – Free Gaza’,” duty officer Lars Vestervig said according to DR Nyheder.
The Movia adverts were removed from the buses after a majority of the board voted against sticking with the ads, which were paid for by Palestine advocate organisation Dansk-Palæstinensisk Venskabsforening.

Let’s see. The buses were burned. One had “Boycott Israel–Free Gaza” on it. And the police don’t know whether there is a connection to the decision to remove the “Boycott” ads?
We see this kind of avoidance of assigning responsibility beginning to happen everyday in Israel. Missiles fired out of Gaza are no longer fired by Hamas; attacks by Palestinians on Jews in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem are wished away as something else.
Here is a news story from yesterday:
—————
An Israeli policeman has been injured in a car accident on Saturday night that may have been a terror attack attempt, police stated.
A police officer on patrol in the Hevron area on Saturday night near the Yehuda Regional Base in the Hevron Hills was hit by a Palestinian Arab driver who rammed his car into the patrolman during a routine inspection, they said.
The driver fled the scene toward the village of Yatta.
The policeman has suffered leg injuries and was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva.
Police and the IDF are scanning the region for the driver and an investigation has been launched. All leads are being pursued, police emphasized.

Injured in a car accident? The policeman was rammed by a Palestinian Arab driver who then fled toward Yatta–a well known seat of terror.
Using the word “injured” denotes that physical harm was suffered–perhaps as a result of the action of someone other than the victim, or perhaps as a result of the actions of the victim himself.
Using the word “accident” denotes that the inflicting of physical harm was unintentional.
What should have been written in this case is the obvious fact that the policeman “was wounded in a terrorist attack”.
The sloppy use of language is a slippery slope. In short order, the victim becomes the perpetrator, and the perpetrator becomes the victim.
