**The deadline that wasn’t:
It turns out that the deadline to see how much the West can give Iran in order to get Tehran to sign an agreement that will leave its nuclear weapons program intact, relieve economic sanctions, reveal nothing about its previous nuclear-military program, pay it more than a hundred million dollars, build two nuclear reactors, and who knows what else is not really June 30th after all.
The new date is July 9th, a date set with nothing but pure politics in mind.
President Obama, John Kerry, and their minions do not want to give the U.S. Congress 60 days to approve the deal–which will happen if agreement cannot be reached by the 9th. Before the 9th and the Congress only gets 30 days.
By the way, it was only 3 days ago that Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, whom Obama is fond of calling “Supreme Leader”, laughingly declared that if the Iranians continue to drag out “negotiations”, the West will give Iran ballistic missiles to shoot its weapons with.
**The loons draw closer:
The current fauxtilla of boats is now only a couple of days from the maritime border of Gaza. The actual number of boats has apparently dropped from 4 to 2 amidst allegations from the fauxtilla members of Israeli sabotage of ships.
To show you just how loony the loonies are, the latest boat in the “Passengers for Freedom Flotilla Bound for Gaza III” to fall by the wayside is the “Juliano”. The “Juliano” is named for Juliano Mer Khamis, the co-founder and director of The Freedom Theater in Jenin.
Khamis was shot 5 times and killed while holding his baby son near that theater on April 4, 2011 by Mujahed Qanini, a former member of the PLO Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade who had shifted his allegiance to Hamas. Qanini’s motivation was that Khamis’ work with Palestinian children was “corrupting the youth of Islam.”
So let’s see if we have this straight: “passengers for freedom” were sailing to Gaza to help free Hamas from Israeli restrictions in a boat named for a person who was murdered by Hamas because he was accused of being too free and subverting Islam.
You can’t make these things up.
**You probably thought your humble servant was loony:
It was just over a week ago that I wrote a blog “Round Up the Usual Suspects“ about how the Israeli police had idiotically rushed out to arrest a group of teenaged Jewish hikers from Judea and Samaria for the arson destruction and graffiti (written in Hebrew) vandalism at the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha on the shores of the Kinneret.
And how that idiotic police rush to arrest led to such international headlines as “Israeli extremists burn the church” . . . “Jewish youths set Galilee’s miracle church on fire” . . . “Israel fanatics burn church” . . . and “Radical Israeli Settlers have Burned the Church of the Loaves and Fishes in Tiberias.”
I strongly suggested that the police should be looking elsewhere for the criminals–specifically among the Arabs who have been terrorizing Christians around Tiberias for months.
This morning comes the news that two “Arabs from eastern Jerusalem” who belong to “a terrorist organization” have been arrested for the crime–and will be indicted this afternoon.
There will be more information as this story develops, but don’t say that your humble servant didn’t tell you so.

**In case you weren’t paying attention this past week, the Vatican (aka the Catholic Church) has signed a treaty with “the nation of Palestine.” This is particularly ironic given the events surrounding the Catholic Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes described above.

Because in the treaty, the Vatican recognizes the “borders” of Palestine as the 1949 Armistice Lines (the so-called June 4, 1967 “borders“)–and as such recognizes that all Christian holy places in the Old City of Jerusalem such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre are under Palestinian sovereignty.
Not to mention the Temple Mount and all Jewish synagogues and holy places in the Old City.
It is difficult to grasp the monumental arrogance of the Vatican in general and Pope Francis in particular.
Or the monumental stupidity.
Look around the Arab world. Christians are on the retreat everywhere–either through outright murder or forced immigration brought on by Muslim pressure. One need look no further than Bethlehem to see how Christians have run away from the city because of Islamic intimidation. And in the case of Bethlehem, Palestinian Islamic intimidation.
These Palestinian Muslims in Bethlehem were not throwing rocks at Israelis several years ago–they were throwing rocks at Bethlehem Christians.
But did that stop Pope Francis from speaking there last year in praise of the Palestinians? Of course not.
Or what about the destruction of Christian churches? What do the idiots in the Vatican really think is going to happen if the Palestinians are put in control of the holy sites in Jerusalem? That they will be safeguarded?

Have they no knowledge of history?
An “Arab Legion” soldier standing in the ruins of the Hurva Synagogue–blasted to pieces after the Palestinians and Jordanians took over in 1948.
Don’t they know that the only time that the Palestinians/Jordanians were in charge of the Old City, they ethnically cleansed it?
Apparently not.
Because they are sheer, unadulterated lunatics.
Thank goodness the Vatican-“Palestine” treaty is a completely worthless piece of trash.
The thought that we Israelis are ever going back to the 1949 Armistice lines, the ones that Abba Eban called “the suicide” lines, is just plain crazy.
