The Palestinian Effort To Erase Jewish History Continues Apace

**Palestinian Ramadan violence continues . . .

. . . as strongly as ever. Here’s a brief rundown of the some of the “highlights” from yesterday around noon until last night:

At 12:30 pm, Arabs assaulted border police forces in Ras al-Amud.

At 12:45 pm, dozens of Arabs rioted in Qalandiya and threw “rocks” at IDF forces.

At 12:58 pm, an IDF soldier had to be evacuated to a hospital after being hit by “rocks” in a Palestinian settlement near Jerusalem.

At 1:14 pm, Palestinians threw IEDs at an IDF force near Jalazun. The soldiers returned fire wounding one.

At 2:10 pm, Palestinians carrying flags of IS, Hamas, and others marched down Route 60 near Halhul throwing “rocks” and causing the road to be closed.

At 5:39 pm, Palestinian arsonists set fire to fields beside the community of Shavei Shomron in Samaria.

At 8:23 pm, Palestinian terrorists threw Molotov cocktails at Border Police in A-Ram and set fire to tires.

At 8:53 pm, Palestinian terrorists threw “rocks” at vehicles near Einav in Samaria.

At 8:54 pm, Arabs threw “rocks” and Molotov cocktails at vehicles near Karmi Tzur in Gush Etzion.

One of the vehicles hit at Karmi Tzur yesterday evening. Note the back window has been smashed. Bystanders are looking for wounded in the car (picture: 0404.)

**Perhaps the most egregious Palestinian actions of the day . . .

. . . occurred just outside of Hebron. To mark the tragic anniversary of the murders of their sons, the families of Naftali Frenkel,  Gilad Shaer, and Eyal Yifrah were escorted by a military convoy to the site where their bodies were found.

All along the route, the families were met with “rock” throwing, whistling, jeering, and laughter by Palestinians.

**The strange incident of the boat off the Gaza coast yesterday . . .

. . . remains strange this morning. All we know is what an IDF spokesman said which was that “a boat” carrying “six Arabs” was intercepted “in a prohibited place” by an Israel patrol boat. When the Arabs “refused an order to move”, gunfire erupted and “one Arab was wounded”. The wounded man and his five companions were “taken to Ashdod for questioning.”

So, who were the Arabs? What were they doing there? Why did they refuse the order? The most likely answer is that they were smuggling weapons into Gaza, but who knows?

What we do know is that there are two Israeli patrol boats uncharacteristically parked in the Mediterranean directly in front of your humble servant’s home this morning.

**More blather out of Vienna today . . .

. . . about the nuclear weapons “negotiations” deadline being extended.  Apparently no one in the news media listens to what anyone says. Virtually every news outlet reported yesterday that another deadline (July 7) had been missed, and that the talks were being extended by 2 days.

But July 9, as reported here on israelstreet has always been the deadline because of what will happen with U.S. Congressional review if there is no agreement by that date (the Congress will have twice the time–60 days instead of 30–to review the document).

The talk this morning from “Western sources” is that if there is no agreement in two days there will be no agreement.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Of course, there will be an agreement.

President Obama’s legacy and John Kerry’s Nobel Prize depend on it.

**To show you how bad things have become at the United Nations and how feeble Israel has become . . .

. . . one only has to look at the vote against Israel in the United Nations Human Rights Council the other day about the Gaza war last summer. The vote was 41 for, 1 against, and 5 abstentions. The one vote against was cast by the U.S.; the five abstentions were India, Paraguay, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Macedonia.

Among those 41 voting in favor were the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. It turns out that all three of these countries were asked by Israel to vote in favor of the anti-Israeli resolution because Israel believed that the “watered down” resolution might come back in much stronger terms later this year.

Say what? Of course, there will be a stronger resolution coming later this year. There is always a stronger anti-Israel resolution in the pipeline. But should the Netanyahu government just throw up its hands in surrender?

TODAY’S BLOG:

The way that the world has bought into the Palestinian myth and narrative is appalling. As we all know, the purpose of that myth and narrative is to erase Jewish history–not only in Israel but in the world.

Yesterday, it came to light that the Palestinian Ambassador to Chile, Imad Nabil, was a featured speaker at a “Conference for Peace in Palestine” in Santiago two months ago. In his speech, Nabil said:

“We do not hate, but we do not recognize the existence of the Jewish people. There is no Jew . . .  A group of intellectuals and financial advisers . . . decided to create . . . the Zionist movement: the creation of a national home for the Jewish people. But the truth is that its goal is the protection of their plan to control the whole world.”

If you hear echoes of the viciously anti-Semitic and fraudulent “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, you are correct, and there is absolutely nothing surprising about Nabil referring to them as if they were real. But what never fails to anger your humble servant is how people sit and listen to such garbage. Because by sitting and listening to it, they give credence to it.

It doesn’t take long for the garbage to become reality.

Except that it is not.

A new piece of archaeology from Iraq was revealed concerning the Jews earlier this year. 110 tablets tablets were discovered that date back to Jewish community in Babylon following the destruction of the First Temple in 586 BCE.

According to the archaeologist Simcha Jacobovici:

Put simply, the tablets corroborate the Biblical tale. They describe a town called Al-Yahudu i.e., “the village of the Jews”, by the river Chebar, mentioned in Ezekiel 1:1. They also attest to Judaic names such as “Gedalyahu”, “Hanan”, “Dana”, “Shaltiel” and a man with the same name as Israel’s current Prime Minister, “Netanyahu”. The “yahu” ending to these names is called “theophoric”, meaning, they attest to a belief in the God of the Torah, by including part of God’s name in people’s personal names. The tablets also record everyday business transactions and witness to the Jewish return to Jerusalem (Nehemiah 6:15-16), as commemorated in personal names such as “Yashuv Zadik”, meaning, “the righteous shall return [to Zion]”.

But wait . . . there are no Jews and never have been. The Palestinians would have us believe that Al-Yahudu was a Palestinian village, and the names mentioned are all Palestinian.  No doubt that will be the subject of Imad Nabil’s next “lecture”.

The interesting truth is that many “Palestinian” family names are, in fact, Jewish names.

But that is information is for a different blog.
