Hamas Tunnel Building Accelerates: The IDF Does Nothing

**The daily Palestinian terror report . . .

Between 8 pm and 12 am last night, terrorists threw Molotov cocktails at the community of Karmi Tzur and left behind an assault rifle and grenades when pursued by IDF soldiers; terrorists attacked cars and buses in Gush Etzion and Hebron resulting in Israelis having to be treated for trauma; terrorists threw Molotov cocktails at Sussiya, Mt. Hebron, Negohot, and at the “pharmacy” checkpoint outside the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.

Just after midnight, a Border Guard stationed at the cemetery on the Mt. of Olives was hit in the head by a “rock” thrown by an Arab terrorist. He had to be evacuated to Sha’are Zedek medical center for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

**Can someone please explain the idiocy of the IDF?

How is it possible that the IDF still uses drones over Lebanon, Gaza, and elsewhere that do not self-destruct when they crash or are shot down?

The big Hamas “surprise” of yesterday was a video that showed that they have succeeded in making an Israeli Skylark UAV (drone) that crashed in Gaza completely operational.  This surprise on the heels of Islamic Jihad proudly displaying their first anti-aircraft battery for use in Gaza.

A Skylark UAV.

A Skylark UAV.

By the way, the Skylark UAV has a range of 20 km and a flying time of two hours which puts about 300,000 Israelis along the border and all the way up to Ashkelon in its range.

**Does anyone expect anything else from the Swiss, Austrians, and Germans?

The Swiss government announced this morning that it was removing all sanctions against Iran so that the two countries “could get back to business”.

Isn’t it ironic, your humble servant said facetiously, that the first three countries to rush to Tehran have been German-speaking ones (with no apologies to the polyglot Swiss who speak German, Swiss-German and French).

**Shades of things to come . . . what will happen when Iran breaks the Nuclear Appeasement Agreement?

Journalists for Fox News discovered this past week that General Qassam Suleimani, head of the al-Quds segment of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, has just concluded a visit to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin.

This meeting was an egregious violation of the sanctions regime that the P5+1 supposedly has in place against Iran–a sanctions regime which has blacklisted Qassam Suleimani.

When confronted with this information yesterday, U.S. State Department spokesmen meekly dissembled that they “had raised the issue with the Russian Foreign Ministry” and added: “We intend to work with the Security Council to ensure that it opens a complete and thorough investigation.”

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Good joke there. The U.S. will work with the Security Council, in which the Russians have a veto, to raise the issue of the Russians breaking the sanctions against Iran.

Unbelievable.

What will happen when Iran breaks the Nuclear Appeasement Agreement? The U.S. will “raise the issue” in the Security Council. In other words, absolutely nothing.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Another truckload of tunnel-building steel for the terrorists in Gaza. Hundreds of such truckloads have passed through the Kerem Shalom Crossing in recent months.

Another truckload of tunnel-building steel for the terrorists in Gaza. Hundreds of such truckloads have passed through the Kerem Shalom Crossing in recent months.

Speaking of the idiocy of the IDF, your humble servant has been nothing if not consistent in constantly berating our IDF General Command and particularly the abominable IDF COGAT unit for allowing hundreds of “humanitarian” truckloads of concrete and steel into Gaza–all of which we all know are being used to build new attack tunnels into Israel and refurbish ones supposedly destroyed by the IDF during last summer’s war.

Well not exactly “we all know”.

If you can believe this, a senior IDF spokesman remarked today that after the war, the IDF “had no doubt” that “Hamas would abandon tunnel construction.”

Say what?

But now, the same spokesman says, the IDF is fully aware that the Hamas tunnel building project is proceeding at an accelerated pace.  Of course, he had no choice but to say this after the revelation two days ago that a Hamas terrorist who was recently captured at a border crossing has described in great detail the new tunnel network under Gaza.

Moreover, the same terrorist has revealed that Hamas has constructed new tunnels into Israel including one from Rafiah to the Kerem Shalom Crossing (the same one where the truck is in the picture above).

And where is the money coming from to fund all of these tunnels? According to the terrorist, it is coming from Iran.

In any case, the IDF spokesman added this piece of hogwash at the conclusion of his statement:

“Residents of the South, I say: you can sleep in peace, I do not but that’s just my job. We are ready to act against any other party in the area of the tunnel. We are on it 24 hours a day.”

Do we have this right? Residents of the South are supposed to sleep well even though they know the IDF has done nothing to stop Hamas tunnel building–and is even facilitating it with concrete and steel?  What kind of Kool-Aid  is the IDF drinking “24 hours a day”?

Finally, it will come as no great surprise to you, dear reader, to know that the residents of the kibbutzes along the border have been reporting hearing “noises” underground ever since the war ended last summer.

But no one in the IDF has paid any attention to their reports.
