UPDATES 6:00 PM Israel Time
…Palestinian terrorism so far today…
*A short time ago, IDF forces captured a terrorist who was on his way to carry out an attack in Israel. The armed terrorist was nabbed near the Palestinian settlement of Shuqba just outside of Ramallah.
*As on every day of the year, there have been tens of Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians, IDF troops, and security personnel. Most of these have been “rock” and Molotov attacks.
…What has happened to Iran’s “elite” forces in Syria?…
Faced with mounting losses at Khan Tuman, south of Aleppo, the much vaunted Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced a major command shake-up today.
A new commander of forces was installed. In his acceptance speech, Gen. Musan Rezai expressed his “anger, sadness, and fear that the fighting would intensify.”
Meanwhile, Iranian bodies are being shipped back to Iran by the truckload.
…Remember Israel Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan’s comments?…
At a Holocaust Memorial Ceremony last week, Golan outrageously compared the current situation in Israel to the situation in Nazi Germany in the 1930s.
It has not taken long for Golan’s comments to resonate.
In Tehran.
This week, at the annual Iranian “Holocaust Cartoon Contest”, drawings like the one below have been the order of the day:
By the way, Yair Golan has yet to be censured for his remarks by anyone in the IDF General Command.
Unbelievable.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Anyone who has watched Hillary and Bill Clinton over the years knows that everything is always about “them.” The word “I” begins every sentence when they incessantly babble about their supposed accomplishments and achievements.
Most of the time, their narcissistic rants have little import, but sometimes they do.
Such a case occurred yesterday when Bill Clinton was at a campaign rally in New Jersey defending his wife’s indefensible record on Israel.
Of course that defense quickly turned into Bill lauding himself for his efforts to bring peace:
“I killed myself to give the Palestinians a state. I gave them the Gaza Strip, 97 percent of the West Bank, other areas in Israel.”
Stop and think about this for a moment.
Bill Clinton killed himself? Bill Clinton gave the Palestinians Gaza? Bill Clinton gave the Palestinians 97% of the “West Bank”? Bill Clinton gave the Palestinians “other areas in Israel”?
What unadulterated horse manure.
It was we in Israel who killed ourselves (literally and figuratively) for peace.
It was we in Israel who (stupidly) conceded Gaza to the Palestinians along with 97% of the “West Bank”.
It was we in Israel who even (stupidly) conceded other areas in Israel to the Palestinians.
And yet, to listen to Bill Clinton, all the credit belongs to him.
Israel deserves none. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Klume.
But wait . . . Clinton had more to laud himself about:
“Even the Arab countries agreed to the proposal to normalize relations with Israel. I have given them everything they wanted.”
Of course, the Arabs agreed because Israel conceded to the Palestinians everything they wanted.
But wait . . . Clinton had more to say–this time extolling Hillary:
“There’s nobody who’s blameless in the Middle East, but we cannot really ever make a fundamental difference in the Middle East unless the Israelis think we care whether they live or die. If they do, we have a chance to keep pushing for peace. And that’s her position. Not to agree with the Israeli government on everything, not to pretend that innocents don’t die, not to pretend that more Palestinian children don’t die than Israeli children. But that we can’t get anything done unless they believe, when the chips are down, if somebody comes for them we will not let them be wiped out and become part of the dustbin of history.”
Note what Israel has to expect if Clinton is elected President: an administration, like that of Obama, which will regularly criticize Israel–and an administration that will outrageously and falsely accuse Israel of killing Palestinian “innocents” and “children.” And an Administration which will try to make Israelis “believe” that the U.S. always has our back (even though as we saw in the war with Hamas two years ago, it most certainly does not).
Finally, your humble servant supposes that we must now thank Hillary (and Bill) for caring whether we Israelis live or die. And we must thank Hillary for getting us to “believe” that she will not let us be “wiped out” (despite her total support for the Iranian nuclear appeasement deal) and consigned to the “dustbin of history.”
What monstrous arrogance.
Here’s a news flash for Bill and Hillary: various empires and regimes have been trying to wipe out the Jewish people for the better part of 3000 years. They have failed–and all of those regimes such as the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Romans, the Mamluks, and on and on are in the dustbin of history.
We are still here and will remain: prouder than ever in our Jewish nation of Israel.
