UPDATES  7 am Israel time:

…Palestinian terror yesterday unreported in the mainstream media…

Checkpoints around Judea and Samaria were the scene of a number of terrorist attacks yesterday.

*There was an attempted stabbing at the Pharmacy Checkpoint in Hevron. A female terrorist was captured.

*Molotov firebombs were thrown at cars at the Kashmonim Checkpoint. Miraculously, no one was wounded; the terrorists escaped.

*A soldier was stabbed on the Gilead Road near the Yitzhar Checkpoint. The terrorist was shot and killed (see below).

And, of course, there were multiple “rock” attacks–none of which ever get reported in the media. Israelis were assaulted in Hawara, Abu Tor, Silwan, Bana’in, Migdalot, Deir Nizan, Madama, Gilad, and other places.

…The pathetic story of the day*…

Israeli BDS activist Gilad Paz arrived in Canada two weeks ago and has asked for asylum as a “victim of political persecution.”

Not only active in BDS but also in Amnesty [International] Israel and the ultra left-wing party Meretz, Paz declared to Canadian authorities: “I am politically persecuted in Israel. I realized that people like me have no place in the country, so I decided to leave before it’s too late.”

He has no place in the country?

Certainly not in Israel because he, like most BDS supporters, wishes that Israel did not exist:  “I haven’t believed in the State of Israel for a long time. I believe that the Zionist idea was a fundamental mistake and we are paying a heavy price for it today.”

By the way, apparently Paz also feels persecuted by his own family: “My family doesn’t really accept my decision. They don’t hold the same opinions and don’t support my agenda.”

Let’s hope that Canada accepts his petition for asylum and puts him in an asylum.  Good riddance.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Let’s return for a moment to yesterday’s terror attack at Yitzhar.

Actually this attack was reported by Reuters.

But, before we discuss how it was reported, let’s discuss what actually happened.

The IDF was chasing a car from which a number of terrorists had been throwing “rocks” at Israeli motorists and military vehicles.

When the soldiers were finally able to stop the car, one of the terrorists got out and charged a soldier, stabbing him. He was then shot and killed before he could stab anyone else.

This is how faux-news Reuters reported the incident:

reuters2“Israeli soldier shoots dead Palestinian driver.”

No mention of “rocks”, stabbing, just “Israeli soldier shoots dead Palestinian driver.”

And you wonder why Israelis think the international media is biased?

By the way, the IDF soldier who was stabbed was helicoptered to Beilinson Hospital where he is being treated for his wounds.
