Palestinian Terror Surges On . . .

More than 30 terrorist incidents were recorded in Israel yesterday. Israeli security personnel were the targets of “rocks” and Molotovs in Hevron, Antba, Abu Dis, Ras al-Amud, Beit Ummar, Asharqiya, Anun, Baisoowiya, Hizma, Kiryat Arba, Abu Dis, and Awa.

And the above are just the attacks directed against IDF soldiers, Border Guards, and police.

In addition, Israel civilians were targeted either as pedestrians or motorists at Al-Khader, Deir Nizam, Ofra, the tomb of the patriarchs in Hevron, the Husan bypass road, Gush Etzion, and at Mt. Hebron among other places.

The First F35s Are On The Way . . .

The first two F35s are now on their way to Israel, scheduled for arrival later today. The following picture was taken yesterday at the U.S. AFB in the Azores, Portugal.

The two F35s are the advance force of 33 planes scheduled to arrive in Israel by 2021. Israel also has an option to buy 17 more planes.

Will The F35s Be Able To Cope With The Situation in Lebanon . . .

The following graph showing how southern and eastern Lebanon has become a Hezbollah arsenal:

The sheer density of Hezbollah military sites is almost unbelievable.

The graph is self-explanatory; the sheer density of Hezbollah military sites is almost unbelievable.

Does Israel have capacity to withstand an all-out Hezbollah missile attack? Probably not, at least not in a conventional sense. Israel would almost certainly have to resort to unconventional means to suppress an assault of some 200,000 missiles; there would be nothing left of Lebanon.

An Unprecedented Conference In Israel

What do Cape Verde, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, and Nigeria have in common?

Representatives from each of these west African countries are in Jerusalem this week for a conference sponsored by the Israeli government on how Israel can help west Africa improve its agricultural situation through Israeli farming techniques and technological innovation.

Israel’s Bizarre “Gestures” to the PLO and Hamas

Two items have caught your humble servant’s interest this morning.

First, on Sunday evening, Israel permitted five armored jeeps to be delivered to the PLO through the Allenby Bridge crossing from Jordan into Israel. According to government sources, the reason for the permission is that the security situation is deteriorating in parts of Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria.

What is actually happening is that the PLO is coming under increased attack from within and without. Within, the PLO is fractured with substantial elements still supporting Mahmoud Abbas while others support his opponent Mohammed Dahlan. Without, the PLO is under attack from Hamas, particularly in small Palestinian settlements and towns where Hamas has taken virtual control.

The bottom line is that the “jeeps” (which can be mounted with .50 caliber machine guns) are being brought in to prop up Abbas.

Second, it was announced today that the government is going to allow 15,000 “agricultural workers” from Gaza to come into Israel. Most of the places that they will work will be right here in southern Israel–in the area between Ashdod and the Gaza border.

One can say that the point is to be politically correct–to make Israel appear more “humanitarian.” However, no one in the world cares how many Palestinians have jobs in Israel, and the real point of this “gesture” is to prop up Hamas. As crazy as it seems, providing support to Hamas is a major goal of the IDF General Command these days.

The additional insanity of the situation is that these 15,000 “agricultural workers” are all undoubtedly Hamas supporters and potential terrorists, and it is no small irony that also this morning, Israel is conducting a large scale emergency exercise here in the southern Israel to prepare what to do in case of a large scale Hamas infiltration of this area.

An infiltration made all the more possible by idiotic Israeli government “gestures.”
