Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
In Judea and Samaria:
*Palestinian terrorists reportedly opened fire at the Shilat Junction on Road 443, and attacked Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs at Deir Abu Masha’al, Road 60 near Al-Aruv, and Road 55 near the Azzun Junction among other places.
*Remember Tzipi Rimmel and her 3 week old daughter Noam who were murdered by a Palestinian when he rammed his car into the rear end the Rimmel family car on Road 443?
At first, the police refused to charge the terrorist with any crime calling it an accident. Then, after finding out that he was driving at over 100 mph when he plowed into the Rimmels, they charged him with “driving foolishly.” Still refusing to charge him with terrorism, the police are now charging him with two “misdemeanor felonies” with aggravated manslaughter, aggravated felony, three felony injuries and speeding. Maybe one day the police will get it right.
Along the Gaza Border:
*Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired missiles into southern Israel tonight at the area around Nir Am.

Is This Really The Deal of the Century?

*The capital of “Palestine” would be the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dis–a neighborhood that is already largely separated from the rest of Jerusalem by the security wall.
*The rest of Jerusalem will remain under total Israeli control, although the exact disposition of the Old City is unknown..
In addition:
*The Palestinians must recognize that Israel is a Jewish state.
*The Palestinians must recognize that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
*The Palestinians will not control any borders.
What can we say about all of this?
If this is indeed the Deal of the Century, then your humble servant owes Kushner and Greenblatt an apology. Though I would not be happy about Israel losing one square millimeter of Area C, this (depending on the Old City) is a deal that Israel should accept.
The problem is that the Palestinians will never accept it.
In fact, they will not accept a single one of the items above.
