The Photo of the Day
What you are looking at is a photo that was taken by a resident of Ashdod this afternoon immediately following a tremendous concussive blast near your humble servant’s home. The blast and the above photo were followed up in short order by another tremendous blast.
As you can imagine, social media went berserk reporting the blasts which were heard as far away as central Israel.
Back to the original question, there is little doubt that this puff of cloud has the same distinctive shape of the cloud produced by every missile intercept. We have seen them hundreds of times before and put dozens of such photos on this OneIsrael blogbsite.
Will we ever know what the blasts were? Of course not. The IDF does everything it can to suppress any information about missiles being fired by Palestinians out of Gaza.

TODAY’S BLOG:
Three Cheers For Im Tirtzu!!!
It was way past time.
What typically happens here in Israel is that representatives of the European Union or the United Nations gather together a group of fake journalists and photographers and head out to some spot in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, or Gaza to hold a press conference in which they castigate Israel and seek to delegitimize this country.
Such was the case yesterday.
14 members of the European Union led by EU Representative Sven Kuhn von Bergsdof piled into their black SUVs and drove out to the stony hilltop at Givat Hamatos in eastern Jerusalem. They brought along with them representatives of so-called “human rights” groups Ir Amin and Peace Now.
Once there, they tried to get out of their vehicles to stage their press conference condemning the publication of a construction bid for 1,257 homes on the hill.
But things didn’t go according to plan.
As they arrived, they were greeted by the Im Tirtzu Chapter at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem who were waving Israeli flags:
In fact, the EU representatives were unable to start their press conference as the IM Tirtzu delegation shouted:
“Shame on you!”
“You are supporting terror!”
“You are anti-Semites!”
“This is Jewish land!”
“This is the Jewish capital of Israel!”
Finally, the EU folks and their minions gave up and went to the UN headquarters in Jerusalem’s Talpiot neighborhood to deliver their anti-Israel message.
Your humble servant has only one thing to say: KOLAKEVOD to Im Tirtzu for telling it like it is!
