And so kicked off the campaign to get everyone in Israel vaccinated. Around 50,000 Israelis have already made reservations at their local health clinics to get their first shot.
The News on the Israeli Street
The news in Israel is wall to wall Corona.
Here is the Corona (Covid-19) update over the last 48 hours (from 8 am Friday until 8 am Sunday):
372,886 Israelis have been confirmed with the virus since the pandemic began last March.
There are 4,911 newly confirmed cases.
447 are in critical condition—an increase of 34
113 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—an increase of 7
3,074 have died–an increase of 24
There are currently 24,223 active Corona cases in Israel.
What do these numbers mean?
In short, the situation is worsening with about 2500 new cases per day along with increasing numbers of critically ill.
The Health Ministry has now designated all countries in the world as “red” meaning that a traveler arriving to Israel from anywhere will need to self-quarantine for 14 days. That can be shortened to 10 days upon completion of two Corona tests with negative results.
The total closure of Ben Gurion to all passenger traffic is being discussed this morning but is not expected to be ordered at this time. However, malls, shops, markets and other places are likely to be hit with increased restrictions.

The Terror Attacks at Kedumim and Ramallah Last Night
Try to wrap your mind around this, dear reader.
Last evening at about 6:30 pm, a terrorist drove up to the checkpoint station at the entrance to Kedumim. He got out of his car, casually walked across the road, and then threw a Molotov hitting one of our soldiers. He then ran back across the road and drove off.
Click on this link to watch the entire incident.
Once again, our soldiers did not fire at the terrorist for fear that they would be court-martialed.
As the terrorist sped away toward the nearby Palestinian settlement of Fonduk, he was spotted by an off-duty policeman who chased him in his private car. In fact, he chased him all the way to Azzun.
Where he was stopped by an IDF jeep. The soldiers in the jeep told him that they were not allowed to enter Azzun unless given the green light by the legal echelon (the lawyer attached to their unit).
That green light was not forthcoming, and the terrorist escaped.
This is what things have pathetically come to in Judea and Samaria: soldiers afraid to shoot and “politically correct” lawyers commanding our troops.
Click here for another short video of our soldiers being barraged by Molotovs in the Ramallah area last night. Several vehicles were set on fire, but there were no physical wounds to any soldier. Again, the soldiers did not respond to the attack.
Elsewhere, Palestinian terrorists also attacked Israeli buses at Beit Omer in Gush Etzion and along Road 443.
At the same time, Palestinian terrorists carried out more than a dozen attacks on Israeli motorists with “rocks” and Molotovs at such places as on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road, on the Trans-Judea Highway near Tarqimiyya, on Road 465 beside Deir Nizam, near Hevron, and at Luban a-Sharqiya.
