UPDATE 5:00 PM ISRAEL TIME

The War in the North

An Israeli missile striking a Hezbollah building in the Dehaiya neighborhood of Beirut today:

The IDF Spokesman:

“In the last few hours, fighter jets of the Air Force, under the direction of the Intelligence Division, went on the fourth wave of attacks today in the Dehaiyah area in Beirut. During the day, terrorist headquarters, weapons warehouses, headquarters and other terrorist infrastructures of Hezbollah were attacked. The attacks are another part of the IDF’s operation to attack Hezbollah’s terror stronghold, from where the terrorist organization plans and carries out acts of terror against the citizens of the State of Israel.”

Across the border from Metulla:

You might ask yourself about why Metulla is hit so hard everyday. Yesterday the IDF released this graphic showing the extent to which Hezbollah (the red markers) is embedded in Kfarkela which is practically adjacent to Metulla:

Hezbollah missile and drone attacks so far today:

16:40 Gush Chalav; 15:23 Yaraon; 14:51 Metulla; 14:44 Haifa, Kiryat Biyalik; 14:10 Tzfat; 12:47 Kiryat Shmona; 12:16 Manara; 11:49 Avivim; 10:48 Asher; 10:46 Kiryat Biyalik; 10:00 Nahariya; 09:58: Ma’ale Yosef; 09:05 Nahariya; 08:18 Rosh HaNikra.

There have been direct hits in Nahariya, but fortunately there is no report of injuries.

On the Ground in Gaza

A Palestinian terrorist using “humanitarian aid” sacks to fire missiles at southern Israel:

The IDF Spokesman:

“In Gaza, with the intelligence direction of the ISA, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar, responsible for fire support in the Islamic Jihad’s Gaza City Brigade.

Anbar was responsible for the Islamic Jihad’s rocket fire array from Gaza toward Israeli territory and was a significant figure in the organization’s weapons manufacturing processes. He was eliminated alongside other Islamic Jihad terrorists who fired rockets toward Israel and IDF troops.

Furthermore, IDF troops continue operational activity in the Jabaliya, Beit Lahia, and Rafah areas in Gaza. Over the past day, the troops eliminated terrorists in close-quarters encounters and in directed aerial strikes and located large quantities of weaponry, including explosive devices, machine guns, and additional terrorist equipment.”

And so it goes today in Israel . . . so far . . .
