It’s The Same Old Song

UPDATES 7 pm Israeli time, Friday, December 27 2013:

*38 members of the lost tribe of Menashe (also spelled Manasseh) joyously returned home to Israel last night after 2,700 years in exile. The group, which had been living in the Indian state of Mizoram near the Myanmar border, is part of a wave of an expected 10,000 Bene Menashe that are coming home to Israel.

*It has been a typical 24 hours in Israel with a Palestinian rocket striking the Chof Ashkelon region south of the city of Ashkelon, Molotov cocktail attacks on Israeli motorists and IDF soldiers, and an Israeli soldier wounded by “rocks” thrown by Palestinians and their international “activist” friends.

TODAY’S BLOG:

It’s the same old song.

Israel attempts to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinians only to end up being blamed for not providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

Readers of israelstreet will remember how the electrical power plant in Gaza has gradually closed down during the last few months as the Egyptians have closed down the smuggling tunnels leading into the terrorist enclave. Cheap fuel used to operate the facility is no longer being brought in by Hamas.

If a man consumes it without arousal, it would not work tablet viagra to any further extent. And it is one of our viagra samples specialties. Enter the COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories) Unit of the Israel Defense Forces–a unit that has no business whatsoever being involved with Gaza in any way. After all, Gaza became a sovereign Hamas entity when Israel withdrew from every square centimeter of Gaza almost a decade ago.

In a move that it announced would alleviate the humanitarian suffering of Gazans, COGAT authorized the transport of tons of fuel into Gaza to restart the plant and warm the population. As is true of all items imported into Gaza, the transport of fuel was completely authorized by Hamas.

Which then proceeded to begin launching mortars and rockets into southern Israel (the most recent last evening at 8:10 pm)–and to have one its snipers murder a Israeli Beduin who was repairing the Gaza Border fence after an attempted Hamas infiltration.

As a result the violent incidents–especially the mortar and rocket fire–the Kerem Shalom Crossing through which the fuel for the plant was being transported had to be closed (mortars were hitting near the Crossing).

So what do we have this morning?  Hamas blaming Israel for causing humanitarian suffering in Gaza. Hamas blaming Israel for cutting off the power in Gaza.

Next we will have U.N. resolutions condemning Israel for turning off the power in Gaza followed by the European Union threatening Israel with sanctions if Israel doesn’t start supplying fuel again.

Fuel that Israel should have never been supplying in the first place.

It’s the same old song.
