Another Day of Massive Palestinian Violence in Israel

UPDATES 8 pm Israel time, Thursday, November 13 2014:

—>Benjamin Netanyahu is back in Amman tonight meeting with King Abdullah, John Kerry, and Mahmoud Abbas.

What is the point of this utterly pathetic meeting you may ask? Undoubtedly, Kerry and Abdullah will demand that Israel restart peace negotiations with the Palestinians in return for Abbas suppressing the violence in Jerusalem and elsewhere that he is fomenting.

Once again, the Palestinians will be rewarded for violence against Israelis.

—>A demolition order has been issued for the home of the terrorist who attempted to assassinate Rabbi Yehuda Glick. Of course, there will be numerous left-wing NGOs rushing to defend the “poor” terrorist’s home, but there is reason to believe that the order will be carried out in the next few weeks because the Israel Supreme Court has often ruled that home demolitions are a legal way of fighting terrorism.

Meanwhile, Rabbi Glick continues to improve. He is unable to have visitors but this wonderful picture of him and his wife appeared this morning:

—>As has been reported previously on israelstreet, the so-called Palestinian Authority is deeply in debt to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC)–the entity that provides electricity to all of Israel.

It was revealed yesterday that the Palestinian debt now exceeds 1.7 billion shekels–an amount that has put the IEC itself in jeopardy because of a hugely diminished cash flow. In fact, the only factor that is keeping the IEC afloat is that Israelis, like your humble servant, are now having to pay higher rates for electricity to cover the Palestinians’ failure to pay.

As a result of the inability to collect the debt, the IEC is now proposing to turn off  power to Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria for two hours a day–for one hour at 1 pm and the other at 7 pm. You can expect the always politically correct Netanyahu government to reject this proposal and increase even more the electrical rates that Israelis must pay.

By the way, why is it that the Palestinians are never expected to shoulder their responsibility for anything? That’s easy. They and their supporters around the world are so deeply immersed in their Palestinian victimhood delusion that the Palestinians are always treated like infants.

—>On the Israel nature front: a “Lesser White Goose” has been spotted in Israel for the first time in 21 years. A highly endangered native of the Arctic Circle, it was apparently attracted to Israel for the same reason that millions of other migrating birds stop in Israel during the winter:  an abundance of watery bird habitat rich in vegetation.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The staggering scope of the violence taking place in Israel is difficult to comprehend. Scenes that once seemed unbelievable have now become commonplace. Here is a photo of a march in Akko last night that featured Palestinian and Hamas flags and a picture of the Temple Mount:

Who would have thought that marchers in Israel would march down a street waving Hamas flags?

What was the above crowd protesting? The arrest of two Muslim women who had assaulted Israeli security personnel.

In fact, Hamas posters like the one below are appearing in Muslim communties throughout Israel:

Just think about some of the violence today:

*Dozens of masked terrorists attacked police and Border Guards at the entrance to Issawiya in Jerusalem.

*A Jewish family in a taxi on the Mt. of Olives was attacked and nearly killed.

The taxi the family was riding in. Note that the back glass has been shattered by "rocks".

*Another car driven by a Palestinian attempted to run over Jewish students in the Binyamin area.

*A “rock” throwing attack occurred this afternoon at Anun, north of Kiryat Arta.

*More “rocks” were thrown at Baicol, Sharquiya, Hebron, Beit Hanina, Othniel, Betar Hader, the Tapuach Junction, Abu Dis, Umm Safa, Bet Ummar, and Pisgat Ze’ev.

*A bus was attacked just outside Ma’ale Adumim.

*Palestinian arsonists set fires at several locations near Kfar Etzion in Gush Etzion.

*A bomb was defused by IDF sappers in Tel Aviv.

*Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli motorists in the Gush Etzion tunnel road.

*Border Guards intercepted a Palestinian terrorist from Hebron armed with a butcher knife and screwdriver who was on his way to Jerusalem to attack a bus driver.

The only good news today is that no Israelis were killed though many attempts were made.
