Hosni Mubarak was found guilty, then he was found not guilty, then he was guilty again, not guilty again, released to house probation, and now is about to be tried again.
Mohammed Morsi was found guilty, sentenced to death, not sentenced to death, and now is about to have another hearing on whether he is sentenced to death.
In January, an Egyptian court declared that Hamas is a “terrorist organization.” Yesterday, another court decided that it is not.
Yesterday’s ruling came in the wake of an Egyptian military announcement yesterday that Egypt plans to destroy 10,000 more homes in Rafah in order to increase the buffer zone between itself and Palestinian Gaza.
**The desperate battle between Hezbollah and IS/Jabhat al Nucera for the Qalamoun Mountains between Lebanon and Syria rages on.
Yesterday, Hezbollah’s most senior commander in Qalamoun, Abu Zainab Ahmed, was killed in heavy fighting. The situation has become so desperate for Hezbollah that its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has declared that a “general draft” of young men may need to be implemented. Hezbollah is now anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 50,000 man Iranian force reported several days ago.
**The PLO has apparently decided to adopt a new strategy.
It is now going to send Palestinians and “international activists” out into Area C of Judea and Samaria. Their goal will be to illegally occupy 200 hilltops.
Undoubtedly this plan is the brainchild of both the PLO and the European Union, the latter of which is already funding illegal Palestinian settlements throughout Area C–and even flying the EU flag over them.
