**Brazen Palestinian terrorist attacks overnight:

As regular readers of this blog know, Palestinian terror attacks against IDF soldiers have become increasingly bold during the last month. Soldiers have been stabbed in the neck and in the back, and patrols are now regularly assaulted with “rocks” and Molotov cocktails.

Given the shooting murders of Malachi Rosenfeld and Danny Gonen, it should come as no surprise that Palestinian terrorists are now firing on IDF outposts and soldiers.

Last night’s attacks on IDF outposts in the Binyamin region at Sinjil and Shiloh are especially worrisome. Terrorists using automatic weapons opened fire at both IDF positions in a coordinated attack.  Miraculously, no soldiers were wounded–but, as usual, the terrorists escaped.

**Instead of focusing on capturing those terrorists . . .

. . . the IDF and Civil Administration continue carrying out house demolitions in Jewish communities:

Hundreds of protesters lined the road leading into the Beit El community yesterday afternoon and last night to protest the arbitrary decision of the Israel Civil Administration to raze several homes in a neighborhood of Beit El.

A part of the protest yesterday afternoon.

The homes have been ordered destroyed despite evidence that they were built on land purchased from Palestinians.

The Netanyahu government has turned a deaf ear to the protests.

** . . . and the same government has betrayed some of its most loyal supporters in the last election.

Essentially, no construction is now taking place in Judea, Samaria, or eastern Jerusalem. Long-planned and approved residential units and neighborhoods have been frozen by Netanyahu.

Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel blasted Netanyahu for his non-action last night. Ariel pointed out that even in eastern Jerusalem, Netanyahu has stopped all construction.

**And why has construction stopped? To gain favor in the international community?

Not likely.

European foreign ministers, under the direction of Yasser Arafatophile European FM Federica Mogherini, are meeting today to affirm that they are going to label all products from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Belgium, Denmark and the United Kingdom already mark all goods from those communities with a special stamp.

Shades of the 1930s.

**Speaking of the era leading up to the Holocaust . . .

Much ado has been made about the outrageous behavior of Israeli soccer fans of Beitar Jerusalem in Belgium the other night.  Israeli and international media have decried the hooliganism that took place when Beitar fans through smoke grenades on the field before and during the match with Charleroi (Belgium). One such projectile struck the Charleroi goalie necessitating treatment at a local hospital.

As outrageous and hooliganistic as this behavior was, what has been totally overlooked is what preceded it.

Charleroi fans in the stadium taunted the Beitar players and fans with anti-Semitic slurs and chanted “Go to the gas chambers.”

But nobody is talking about that today.

TODAY’S BLOG:

But one piece of information that many people are talking about today is the capture of most of the cell of terrorists who murdered Malachi Rosenfeld. You may remember that Rosenfeld was shot to death in a Palestinian terrorist attack on June 29 near Shvut Rachel and Kida.

And who are the murderers?

A squad of seven Hamas terrorists–mainly from Silwad near Ramallah:

Ahmad Najar (living in Jordan), Faez Hamed (Silwad), Amjad Najar (Silwad), Muad Hamed (Silwad), Ahmad Shibrawi (Silwad), Abdallah Ischak (Silwad), and Jamal Younes (Katsra).

Ahmad Najar was the leader and founder of the terrorist cell.

And the one terrorist who was not captured was Najar–because, as noted above, he is living in Jordan.

But what is important to know about Ahmad Najar is that he was in Israeli prison from December 2003 until October 2011–serving life sentences for the murders of six Israelis. What happened in October 2011?

He was released in the deal for Gilad Shalit.

Remember this picture of PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas with murderers released in the Shalit deal? Abbas had roads and schools named after them, provided them with homes, and gave them a lifetime salary.

You may remember that Shalit was exchanged for 1,027 Palestinian terrorists. 280 of those terrorists were serving life sentences for the killing of 619 Israelis. At the time, as at the time of every release of Palestinian murderers, protesters led by the Almagor Terror Victims’ Association angrily denounced the exchange.

Almagor declared that more Israelis would die because the released murderers would murder more Israelis.

Unfortunately, they have been absolutely correct.

So far, six Israelis have now been murdered by murderers who were released for Gilad Shalit. Those Israelis are Malachi Rosenfeld, Danny Gonen, Col. Baruch Mizrachi, Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Sha’ar, and Eyal Yifrah.

An Israeli reporter and blogger, Amit Segal, wrote this in his blog yesterday:

“Anyone who opposed the [Shalit] release was perceived as ‘a cold hearted cynic, who supports Gilad’s death’.  The final, winning argument that was presented before the prime minister and ministers was – ‘and what if it was your son?’”

That argument can now be answered with: ‘And what if Baruch had been your father? And what if Malachi was your brother? And Danny? And Naftali, Gilad and Eyal?’”

To which your humble servant would only add: the next time that you hear anyone such as John Kerry or Federica Mogherini pushing Israel to release more murderers–remember the bitter fruit of Gilad Shalit.
