***The Ezra Schwartz story continued . . .

As you remember, Ezra was the American tourist who was studying and doing volunteer work in Israel when he was gunned down by a Palestinian terrorist five days ago.

At last night’s National Football League game between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills, the stadium stood in a moment of silence for Ezra. Click on this link to watch the moving tribute.

As you also undoubtedly know, there has yet to be any condemnation of his murder from President Obama. Click on this link to sign the following petition:

“On November 19, 2015, Ezra Schwartz, an 18-year old American citizen from Sharon, MA, was murdered by a terrorist while on his way to do volunteer charity work. The government of the United States of America has failed to publicly acknowledge Ezra’s murder and has taken no action to condemn the terror attack that took three lives.

We respectfully request that President Obama publicly acknowledge the senseless killing of Ezra Schwartz, condemn the attack and rebuke the Palestinian Authority for claiming that the third victim of this attack, an Israeli Arab, was killed by Israeli forces, when not a single shot was fired by Israeli military or law enforcement and the terrorist was taken into custody unharmed. Such lies are irresponsible and incite further terrorism.”

If you don’t do anything else today, sign this petition.

***The Soleimani curse continued . . .

As regular readers of this blog know, legendary Iranian General Qasem Soleimani has always been cloaked in an air of imperious invincibility. He likes nothing more than to roam around battle zones with no protective vest or helmet.

A few days ago, israelstreet reported on the Soleimani curse. Whereas Soleimani has seemed invincible, every Iranian ground commander that gets photographed with him gets killed by rebel forces in Syria within 24 hours.

At the time of that report, there was also unconfirmed news that Soleimani himself had been killed in Syria in an anti-tank missile attack on his convoy. We did not report it at the time because there was no confirmation.

This morning comes that confirmation from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards themselves. They have reported on their official website this morning that General Soleimani was gravely wounded in battle outside of Aleppo.

We can always hope that he is dead.

TODAY’S BLOG:

If the situation in Israel, especially in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem, seems completely out of control, it is only because it is. With the Netanyahu government loathe to take meaningful steps to end the violence, and an IDF bureaucracy beset by political violence and passivity, the Palestinian reign of terror continues.

For example, this morning PM Netanyahu has ordered the IDF to begin checking all Palestinians in cars traveling on Routes 60 and 443. On the face of it, this seems like a good idea, but in reality, do you really think that an IDF soldier is going to be able to find a knife hidden in a car or on a person during a traffic check?

And what about the fact, that the car itself can be used as a weapon? There has already been such an attack this morning.

40 minutes ago at the Tapuach Junction: a terrorist driving this car rammed into a group of Israelis who were in front of the concrete stanchions (picture: walla).

At 8:19 am, 40 minutes ago, there was a “bulldozer” attack at the Tapuach Junction. Three Israelis were wounded. The terrorist was shot and wounded.

Stabbings, missile attacks, Molotov firebombings, bulldozer attacks, and shootings have all become part of the daily routine. The only question when we wake up each morning is “how many Israelis are going to be murdered today?” At the top of every hour, every person rushes to listen to Kol Israel radio to find out where the latest attacks occurred, and if someone he or she knows has been killed or wounded.

Israelis killed between October 1 and November 22 in Palestinian terror attacks.

Israelis killed between October 1 and November 22 in Palestinian terror attacks.

Yesterday, just like on Sunday, there were three stabbing attacks.

–At 3:09 pm, Ziv Mizrahi , an 18-year-old soldier in the IDF was stabbed and murdered beside a gas station on Route 443 north of Jerusalem.

Ziv Mizrahi. May his memory be forever blessed.

Ziv Mizrahi (1997-2015). May his memory be forever blessed.

Ziv was the driver of a vehicle ferrying an Israeli observation balloon out into Samaria. He stopped beside the road because of a minor traffic accident. It was there that the terrorist attacked. Another soldier, a 22-year-old female, was also wounded in the attack. The terrorist was shot and killed.

By the way, Ziv’s uncle was also murdered by a Palestinian terrorist. The uncle was the heroic security guard at the Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem in 2003 who embraced a bomber who was detonating his suicide vest–in order to save the lives of the people in the cafe.

–At 2:57 pm, a Palestinian terrorist tried to stab an IDF soldier at the entrance to Shechem (Nablus). He was unsuccessful and was shot and killed.

–At 11:28 am, two Palestinian female terrorists attacked a 70-year-old man on Jaffa Street in Jerusalem near the Mahane Yehuda Market. The man turned out to be a Palestinian from Bethlehem–he was “moderately” wounded. One terrorist was shot and killed, the other critically wounded.

Other attacks:

There was a Palestinian bulldozer attack near Shavei Shomron yesterday–a terrorist tried to run over 5 yeshiva students. One student was lightly injured. The terrorist was captured.

Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired two missiles into the Eshkol region of southern Israel. No warning alarms sounded.

There were numerous Molotov firebomb attacks all day along: a bus was hit near Beitilu, a car at Budrus, soldiers at Rachel’s Tomb and in Abu Dis, and the police in Silwan.

Bullets were fired at houses in Har Adar and at soldiers in Qalandiya.

“Rocks” were thrown at Hizma, Louvain, Tulkarm, Shiloh, Shuafat, Fawwar, Sinjil, Hebron Hills, Mt. Hebron, Gilad Shomron, the Gush Etzion Tunnel, Halhul, and Hawara.

All in all, it was just a typical day here in Israel.
