–>Palestinian terror today.

There has been another horrific Palestinian stabbing attack in the last two hours.

Two Israeli women, aged 24 and 58, were viciously stabbed while shopping in a grocery store at Beit Horon on Road 443. The terrorists entered the store, stabbed the 40 year old woman in the neck and back, then repeatedly stabbed the older woman in the stomach.

Security personnel responding to calls for help quickly arrived on the scene and killed the terrorists.  They also discovered an IED in a bag left behind by the terrorists.

When MADA arrived, they found the 40 year old woman with no pulse and had to revive her. Her condition is currently listed as “grave.” The older woman is in “critical” condition.

Earlier in the day, Shin Bet announced that a two woman Palestinian terror cell has been uncovered–a cell that had already gathered enough fertilizer to make a large bomb, as well as accumulating weapons and ammunition.

What is unusual about this particular cell is that it is composed of identical twin sisters–19 years old.

Another "face" of Palestinian terrorism.

–>A Ministerial Committee on “Settlements” has been established after all.

Following the publication of yesterday’s israelstreet blog, a Netanyahu cabinet debate raged as to whether a ministerial committee to oversee Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria would be established.

Our so-called “Defense” Minister Moshe Ya’alon acted predictably–declaring that he would not sit idly by and watch his powers be eroded.

In the end, the Committee was established–with Netanyahu as chairman, Interior Minister Arye Deri, Ya’alon, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, and others as yet unnamed.

Ya’alon will remain in charge of Judea and Samaria, but decisions regarding evictions and demolitions of Jews and Jewish communities will supposedly be collective.

Again, in your humble servant’s opinion, this is still a dramatic change that portends well for the Jewish communities–though we would have liked to see Ya’alon completely removed from any decision-making responsibility in Judea and Samaria.

TODAY’S BLOG:

One has to laugh.

In the next couple of hours, the NGO Transparency Law will come up for its first reading in the Knesset. All we have been hearing for months from everyone on the “Left”–including the Israeli and international “Left”, the European Union, and the Obama Administration–is that the Law will somehow destroy Israeli democracy and crush free speech in the country.

Of course, we all know that is nonsense.

And now, in advance of the vote, the “Lefties” agree.

In a joint statement released this afternoon by B’Tselem and Breaking the Silence, the extreme left-wing organizations declared:

1. The practical effect of the proposed law is minimal.

2. If approved, the Law will in no way affect the operation of the organizations. More specifically it will not reduce activities in any way.

Hagai El-Ad, the executive director of B’Tselem, even crowed:

“[The law] against us will not discourage us; on the contrary our voices will be heard and will become clearer and stronger. . . We will continue to proudly until the occupation ends.”

No freedom of speech?

“Until the occupation ends” . . .isn’t it funny that B’Tselem now sounds exactly like BDS.

El-Ad is not talking about the end of some imaginary “occupation of Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem”; he is talking about the end of the “occupation of Israel.”

What organizations like B’Tselem, Breaking the Silence, and BDS want is the end of the Jewish state.

As the head of BDS, Omar Barghouti, recently said,“We will never stop–not even if there is a Palestinian state in the West Bank and east Jerusalem is its capital. We will never stop until every one of the more than 5,000,000 Palestinian refugees around the world return to Israel.”

Let’s hope that the NGO Transparency Law sails smoothly through the Knesset. Because despite what B’Tselem and Breaking the Silence say, it is an important step against the delegitimization of the country.
