Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza border:
**12:04 am Thursday: Incoming missile alarms for the Chof Ashkelon region just south of the city of Ashkelon. Iron Dome intercepts: 3 “large” explosions heard by residents.
As usual, the IDF spokesman was quick to rush to the podium and declare that the detection of the launches, the interceptions by the Iron Dome, and the resulting explosions were all “a false alarm.”
**11:35 pm Wednesday: Incoming missile alarms for Chof Ashkelon region in the area of Zikim.
More “false alarms” according to the IDF spokesman–despite the explosions heard in the area.
**1:14 pm Wednesday: Incoming missile sirens for Yad Mordechai area. Three missiles explode in area–including at Nativ HaAsara and Sderot.
All told, from the reports we can piece together, 9 missiles were fired by Palestinian terrorists at southern Israelis yesterday and early this morning.

Caught With His Pants Down Again
Yesterday, we wrote here on OneIsrael about how the Netanyahu event here in Ashdod turned into a national humiliation, personal embarrassment, and yet another example of how southern Israel has been thrown to the dogs.
Nothing has changed your humble servant’s opinion in the last 24 hours.
If anything it has grown stronger as more missiles keep falling and PM Netanyahu is trotting off to Sochi, Russia to meet with Putin today in nothing more than a last-minute election ploy to siphon away Israeli-Russian voters (who adore Putin) away from Avigdor Lieberman’s Israeli-Russian based Yisrael Beiteinu Party.
However, if you read the blog yesterday carefully, you will see that I wrote that Netanyahu’s performance was personally humiliating because it showed the utter failure of his Gaza policy.
I did not criticize Netanyahu for being whisked off-stage by his security guards when the incoming missile sirens sounded.
But all of Netanyahu’s opponents did.
Topping the list were Blue and White Party leaders Benny Gantz and Moshe Ya’alon who crowed that if they had been in Netanyahu’s position they would have shown more courage and never left the stage during an incoming missile alert.
Of course, those of us who have been around long enough to know Gantz and Ya’alon know better.
It was a mere 5 years ago that General Gantz, then the head of the IDF, and Moshe Yaalon, then the Defense Minister, reportedly refused to go to the border in the middle of the war for fear of being targeted by Hamas.
Late last night, a video surfaced of the brave and courageous Gantz giving an impromptu press conference in a “protected shelter” during incoming missile sirens two months ago. Here is a screen shot from the video:
Note that the only “brave and courageous” person in this photo is the cameraman standing outside the shelter.
Benny Gantz once again caught with his pants down–the first time literally in the sordid story of his alleged sexual harassment of young girls as a teenager, this time figuratively as he attempts to make himself braver than he is.
