350,271 Israelis have been confirmed with the virus since the pandemic began last March.
There are 1,986 newly confirmed cases.
316 are in critical condition—a decrease of 12
106 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—an increase of 13
2,934 have died–an increase of 2
There are currently 15,248 active Corona cases in Israel.
It appears that the on again off again Chanukah night lockdown may be on again in light of the 2.5% morbidity rate yesterday and the rapidly increasing number of active cases in the country.

The Egregious Decision of the Israel Foreign Ministry Yesterday
Hardly a day goes by that we do not document the dysfunctional actions taken by our government regarding the Corona virus.
However what happened yesterday egregiously exceeds “dysfunction.”
As we have reported, increasing numbers of Israeli tourists returning from the U.A.E. are infected with the Corona virus. For this reason, the Israeli Ministry of Health declared that the U.A.E is now “red”. The impact of this decision was to force Israelis returning from the U.A.E. to self-quarantine for 14 days in order to stop them from spreading the virus.
Astonishingly, this decision of the Health Ministry was vetoed yesterday by the Foreign Ministry. According to the Foreign Ministry, labeling the U.A.E. red would lead to a “political crisis.”
A political crisis?
What kind of morally vacuous government puts politics above the health of its citizens?
Our Israeli government.
When you stop and think about it, this decision was not as bizarre as it sounds. After all, this is precisely what successive Netanyahu governments have done with the lives of southern Israelis for the last decade. We citizens of the south are made to suffer endless missile attacks, endless fires destroying our land and contaminating our air, and endless attempted infiltrations by Palestinian terrorists from Gaza.
Why?
Because of the political ramifications of wiping out the hornets’ nest in Gaza once and for all.
In this country, basic morality has been thrown to the wind by an utterly bankrupt government that puts politics above the health of our people.
