Happy Chanukah! and Merry Christmas!

OneIsrael’s Chanukah Fund For Our Soldiers

Chanukah (Hanukkah) begins tonight and ends on January 2. Please donate to our OneIsrael Chanukah Fund for Our Soldiers.

OneIsrael is working with organizations to lift the spirits of our soldiers by bringing them warm clothing, souvganiot (doughnuts), and latkes.

Some of the souvganiot what we picked up yesterday:

Please help us. You can donate by clicking the “donate button” on the right of this page.

UPDATE 9:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

The View from Ashdod

It was a turbulent Christmas eve here in Ashdod last night with the IAF massively bombing in northern Gaza (a bombing continuing this morning). Some of the explosions that rocked our house here in Ashdod were felt all the way to Haifa. Here are a sampling of the comments on social media from one huge blast at Beit Hanoun at 22:03 (10:03 pm):

“My house here near Sderot almost collapsed from the explosions. It’s just crazy what has been going on in Gaza in the last few minutes.”

“Here in Rehovot, the doors almost blew off my house.”

“Wow. Another serious one. It was heard all the way in the north.”

“This is the most unusual since the beginning of the war.”

“A huge earthquake shook Ashkelon.”

“I don’t understand what bombs they are using that people hear and feel 100 km from Gaza.”

Then at 4:22 am the Houthis in Yemen struck again with a ballistic missile aimed at central Israel. This is the map of where the alarms were sounded:

Once again, the missile was intercepted before entering Israel, but shrapnel fell in numerous locations, most significantly in Beer Ya’akov. MADA reports that 10 Israelis were injured while running to their bomb shelters.

Hostage Negotiations Have Stalled Again

It appears that negotiations have stalled again because Hamas has never provided a list of living hostages to Israel.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Hamas has often said they would release 33 or 30 or 25 or . . . hostages living and dead, but the terrorists have never provided a list of living hostages.

The Humanitarian Farce in Gaza

We have always written here at OneIsrael that the entire rush to supply “humanitarian” food and goods to Palestinians in Gaza is nothing but a sad joke.

Not only has Hamas been commandeering humanitarian trucks, taking the food and goods, and selling them on the black market, but also the so-called “humanitarian” organizations supposedly helping distribute the supplies are nowhere to be seen.

Just how much a farce those organizations are was revealed in a Israel Channel 12 video report yesterday–from the Palestinian side of the border where the “humanitarian” goods are being parked.

Some facts from the report:

*60,000 trucks have entered Gaza since the beginning of the war carrying 1.3 million tons of supplies including 32 million liters of fuel, 52,000 liters of water, 27,000 tons of cooking gas. However, the delivery of supplies has been halted for months.

*On the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom Crossing alone, there are 885 “humanitarian” trucks full of food and goods going nowhere.

*All of the food on the trucks and food stacked in a vast storage area have expired. Huge amounts of items like sugar, tomato paste, pasta, tuna fish, and much more are just rotting:

A sea of “humanitarian” supplies.

*A myriad of items such as children’s diapers, winter clothing, blankets, and tents are just sitting there:

What’s the problem? Simply put, the international aid organizations which love to fraudulently blame Israel for not allowing humanitarian supplies into Gaza are doing nothing to distribute the hundreds of tons of supplies already there.

The PLO Weapons Farce

We have already reported how the Biden Administration twisted the arm of Israel to supply the PLO with weapons “to defend itself” against Islamic Jihad and Hamas in Jenin where the Palestinian civil war continues.

To put it a different way, the Bidenites wanted us to supply weapons to the terrorists so that they can defend themselves against the terrorists.

Idiotically, Israel agreed.

Yesterday, we were treated to photos of so-called “PLO police officers” walking around in Jenin with RPGs.

The head of the Yesha Council had these comments yesterday:

“I think these are the only police officers in the world who hold RPGs. And if it weren’t sad, it would be funny. We are as concerned as any Israeli citizen with eyes in their head about the fact that the State of Israel and the government have . . . returned to their old perceptions of October 6. The Palestinian Authority is not the solution, it is the problem. This photo of the RPG on the streets of Jenin absolutely expresses this point. It is the tip of the iceberg of the lack of change in perception. The PA (aka PLO) are the bad guys.”

A Final Note Today

For the past week, the police and IDF have been busy clearning metal fragments from Hezbollah missile explosions from Kiryat Shmona. The police yesterday produced this chanukiah made from the metal fragements in which the first candle will be lit tonight:

On this happy note of Israeli resilience, we sign off for today . . . unless circumstances warrant a return . . .

Happy Chanukah!
