Photos of the Day

All this week we have seen and heard unusual planes overhead which were Israeli F-35i and F-15i jets along with a U.S. B-52 bomber in a significant coordinated air drill.
An air drill for what?
Possibly Iran. Yesterday the IAEA reported that the Iranians have now enriched enough uranium for 6 nuclear bombs.
On the Ground in Gaza
*The IAF attacked a terror cell from the air in the Tel Sultan neighborhood near Rafah in southern Gaza. The cell was eliminated.
*The IDF spotted a number of terrorists planting explosives in northern Gaza. The IAF eliminated the terrorists. However, it should be noted that Hamas has been using the current ceasefire to plant hundreds of IEDs all over Gaza.
*An IAF drone strike eliminated another group of terrorists in the Shejaiya neighborhood across the buffer zone from Nahal Oz.
*U.S. negotiations with Hamas are now fully out in the open–possibly to the exclusion of Israel. If you can believe this, the Trump Administration is now offering to extend the ceasefire for another 60 days, to open the border crossings, and to resume humanitarian aid–in return for Hamas releasing 10 live hostages.
The release of 10 live hostages would be wonderful, but the Trump Administration is offering? What right do the Americans have to dictate terms to us?
We Obviously Have Learned Nothing
Israel is back to the same old absurd conceptions of how to deal with the Palestinians believing that the more we give them, the more they will love us.
At the moment, the government is falling all over itself to dole out Ramadan concessions.
First came the news two days ago that Hamas terrorists are now receiving medical treatment outside of Gaza. In other words, Israel is allowing terrorists to leave Gaza to supposedly receive treatment. A long convoy of these terrorists went through the Rafah Crossing yesterday.
Next came news yesterday that the IDF is removing checkpoints in Judea and Samaria and placing “open-fire” restrictions on IDF soldiers–despite the upsurge in Palestinian shooting attacks we have chronicled here in the last two months.
To top all of this, the government has decided to allow “a limited number” of Palestinians from Judea and Samaria to pray at the Temple Mount. What is a “limited number”? 10,000 every Friday.
Former Security Minister correctly observed yesterday:
“It’s as if October 7th never happened: The new procedures for Ramadan are a complete sham – avoiding enforcement, banning cameras and checkpoints, and most dangerously – neutering the opening fire procedures, which endangers the lives of our fighters. I call on the Minister of Defense to intervene and wake up those elements of the October 6th concept, and to stop playing with the lives of IDF soldiers and Jewish community members!”
All in all, it is an extraordinarily sad commentary on how far we have regressed since October 7.
Something Else To Look Forward To
A 4.3 earthquake occured yeserday in the Red Sea 16 km north of Nuweiba, Egypt and 65 km south of Eilat. No damage was recorded in Israel, but “a whole lot of shaking” went on.
Geologists inform us that Israel is hit with a disastrous earthquake every 100 years—and 98 years have now passed since the devastating 1927 earthquake.
And so it goes on a rainy and windy morning here in Israel . . . so far . . .
