UPDATE 8:00 PM ISRAEL TIME

It has been an eventful day.

Three hours ago at 17:00, we learned that the IAF is attacking Yemen following the firing of 3 surface to surface ballistic missiles at Israel in the last two weeks.

It is not a small attack.

Dozens of IAF aircraft jets accompanied by refueling and intelligence aircraft flying 1800 km have blown up Houthi ports, the power plants at Al-Ahly and Ras Khatib, oil storage depots, and seaports in Ras Issa and Hodeida.

The sight all over Yemen.

To make matters worse for the Houthis, a helicopter carrying senior Houthis and Iranian Revolutionary Guards crashed in western Iran. There appear to be no survivor.

Elsewhere . . .

*An IAF strike in the Lebanese village of Jab Jenin killed Muhammad Dahrouj, a senior member of the Lebanese (Sunni) terrorist organization Al-Jama’a al-Islamiyya.

*As we suspected, the bombed headquarters of Hezbollah which ended the life of Hassan Nasrallah also ended the lives of many other terrorists–the extent of which is still only now becoming apparent.

The IDF spokesman said today that at least 20 more Hezbollah leaders were killed in the blasts including:

Ibrahim Hossein Jazini – head of Nasrallah’s security unit.
Samir Toufik Div - Nasrallah’s advisor for many years, among other things, on terrorism matters.
Abdel Amir Muhammad Sablini – responsible for building the strength of Hezbollah.
Ali Na’af Ayyub – responsible for managing missile fire.

*It appears that the last remaining member of the Hezbollah hierarchy Abu Ali Rada was killed today in Dahiya.

*The IAF carried out more than 40 attacks on Baalbek and the Beqaa Valley this afternoon.

*Meanwhile, Hezbollah fired 12 barrages of missiles at northern Israel and the Galilee region today.

*Just now, at the end of a long day, Gideon Saar announced that he is joining the Netanyahu Coalition government–not as Defense Minister but as a member of the political security Cabinet.

UPDATE 8:45 AM ISRAEL TIME

The Photo of the Day

In Usafia, the widow of Druze 1st Sgt. Nohad Abu Rokan pointing to the green flag of the Israeli Border Police with her right hand while holding the Israeli flag in the other.

It is hard to imagine some of the celebrations that have erupted in the Sunni Arab world because of the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah. In Syria, sweets were given out and fireworks were used; in Lebanon, Sunni cities such as Tripoli rejoiced and blocked Shi’ite residents from southern Lebanon from entering their cities.

There were also expressions of joy in Israel nowhere more so that in the predominantly Druze city of Usfyia located on Mt. Carmel. There the family of the late 1st Sgt. Nohad Abu Rokun opened their home to guests and held a henna ceremony for them on the occasion of Nasrallah’s assassination.

The head of the family, Sgt. Nohad, 38 years old at the time of his death, fell 40 years ago on November 4, 1983 in a suicide bombing carried out by Nasrallah’s Hezbollah. He may be gone, but he is not forgotten as you see from the photo above.

Attacks on Israel so far this morning

03:22 Kiryat Shmona (Hezbollah missiles); 05:30 Eilat (Drone from Iraq or Yemen); 08:38 (Hezbollah missiles) Lower Galilee-Southern Golan– Tiberias, Moshavat Kineret, Poria Illit, Ein Gev, Kfar Haruv.

Israeli strikes overnight and this morning:

00:12 Air strike on Dahiya target in Beirut.

00:56 Air strike on the Abu Kamal area on the Syria-Iraq border.

The IDF Spokesman at 06:44 this morning:

“The IDF continues to attack terrorist targets of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanese territory. Fighter jets of the Air Force, under the direction of the Northern Command, attacked dozens of terrorist targets in the territory of Lebanon in the last few hours. Among the targets that were attacked by launchers aimed at the rear of the State of Israel, were buildings where weapons and military structures of the organization were stored. During the last day, the IDF attacked hundreds of terrorist targets of the Hezbollah terrorist organization throughout Lebanon.”

With Friends Like These . . .

If you can believe this, U.S. officials speaking to Al-Arabiya television said yesterday that the U.S. has noticed “shifts in Israeli troop deployment on the Lebanon border.”

Why on earth is the U.S. announcing Israeli troop movements?

Unbelievable.
