UPDATE 6:30 PM ISRAEL TIME

Breaking News:

Israel has destroyed the Hezbollah Central Headquarters in Dahiya, Beirut with at least 8 precision missiles or bunker busting bombs. Speculation is rampant about who was in those headquarters. More information as we have it.

This comes on the heels of PM Netanyahu’s dramatic speech at the United Nations.

The target was Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah. Apparently F35s carried out the attack.
What was left.

UPDATE 1:00 PM ISRAEL TIME

More Hezbollah missile attacks since 08:00 this morning: 08:33 Haifa, Carmel, Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Motzkin (10 missiles–2 hit the port–no casualties); 09:29 Tiberias, Alumot, Dagania, Moshavat Kineret, Tel Katzir.

More Eliminations

From the IDF Spokesman this morning:

״Following the IDF strike in the area of Beirut on Tuesday (24.09.2024) in which Ibrahim Muhammad Qabisi, Head of Hezbollah’s Missiles and Rockets Force was eliminated, it can now be published that additional senior terrorists were killed alongside him. The eliminated terrorists include Qabisi’s deputy, Abbas Ibrahim Sharaf Ad-Din, and an additional senior terrorist from Hezbollah’s missile unit, Hussein Hany, who was close to Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah’s most senior military commander and the head of its Strategic Unit, who was eliminated in July.

Additionally, the terrorist Fuad Shafiq Khaz’al Khanafer, a senior operative in Hezbollah’s surface-to-surface missile unit, was eliminated in another IDF strike.

These terrorists were sources of expertise for the Hezbollah terrorist organization and, over the years, led various terrorist activities and force-building efforts intended to harm the State of Israel. The IDF will continue to operate with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization in order to restore security to the citizens of northern Israel and the State of Israel as a whole.״

In Judea and Samaria

The IDF Spokesman:

“IDF forces, the Shin Bet and the Israel Defense Forces operated in the last day in an operation to counter terrorism in Jenin as part of the extensive operation in northern Samaria.

At the direction of the Shin Bet, the forces arrested four wanted persons, located two observation vehicles with explosives, destroyed explosives planted in axes and found a gun and many weapons in the area. The operation in northern Samaria continues.

22 wanted persons were arrested tonight. In the villages of Safa and Gamal in Ephraim two guns were confiscated and 11 charges were destroyed, in Beit Omer in Zion three weapons were confiscated and in Dora in Judah another weapon was confiscated.

This week IDF, Shin Bet and MGB forces arrested 57 wanted persons throughout Judea and Samaria. The forces confiscated 100,000 NIS in terrorist funds, ten weapons, military equipment and other weapons.

So far, since the beginning of the war, more than 5,250 wanted persons have been arrested throughout the area of the Central Command, more than 2,050 of them are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.”

UPDATE 8:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

One lousy missile.

At 00:40 this morning.

Fired by Houthis in Yemen.

Intercepted by the Arrow System before it reached Israel.

And yet:

Incoming missile alarms sounded in all these places.

Where were “all these places”?

Tel Aviv Jaffa, Or Yehuda, Shoham, Ramat Gan, Lod, Givat Shmuel, Savion, Beer Ya’akov, Kiryat Ono, Yehud Monoson, Petah Tikva, Bnei Brak, Givatayim, Mikve Israel, Ramla, Holon, Rishon Lezion, Nes Ziona, Elad, Rehovot, Bat Yam, Yavneh, Modi’in-Maccabim-Reot, Modi’in region, South Sharon, Sdot Dan, Gezer, Gan Reva, Brenner, Yavneh region, Nahal Shurk, Mate Yehuda, Shefala – Ginton, HaNetiv Mehir parking lot, Lod, Nir Zvi, Zeitan, Beer Ya’akov, Ahiezer, Ahisamach, Kfar Noer Ben Shemen, Beit Dagan, Yigal, Tzafaria, Tzifin Industry, Hamed , Ramla, Nesher Industrial Area – Ramla, Regam Industrial Area, Kfar Chabad, Rishon Lezion – Mizrah, Ben Shemen, Mishmar HaSheva, Gonot, Yarkon – Airport City, Shoham, Barkat, Tirat Yehuda, Givat 28, Kfar Daniel, Nahalim, Nofach, Mazor, Kfar Truman, Beit Nehemiah, Barot Yitzchak, Rintia, Beit Arif, Bnei Atarot, Gamzo, HadidGezer, Beit Hashmonai, Nes Ziona, Iros, Gan Sorek, Beit Uziel, Gibton, Beit Oved, Satria, Yitzitz, Gan Shlomo, Hadar Gardens, Kfar Bil’u, Kiryat Ekron, Eynain, Rehovot, Ishersh, Netzer Sarni, Ramot Meir, Kfar Shmuel, Gani Yohanan, Azaria, Rishon Lezion – West , Beit Hanan, Padia, Yad Rambam, Naan, Palmachim Industrial Park, Petahia, Nettaim, Mishleh and more.

MADA reports that 17 Israelis were injured–none seriously- while trying to make it to a bomb shelter or fortified place. Most seriously injured was a 17-year-old girl who was hit by a car which swerved to the side of the road when the alarms sounded.

You will also note in the list of places receiving an alarm was Ben Gurion Airport (Airport City). The Airport was temporarily shut down, but is back up and operating this morning as usual.

So why all the alarms?

Because of the concern that falling debris from the intercepted missile might hit one of these places.

That is all well and good, but the alarms early this morning were overkill and ended up being the only cause of injuries.

On the Ground in the North

Hezbollah has already attacked Tiberias at 07:26 this morning with one missile that fell in the Kineret.

About A Ceasefire

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration continues to exert maximum pressure on PM Netanyahu to accept a “temporary” 21 day ceasefire. Such a ceasefire would serve no purpose except to help Hezbollah rearm and reorganize. Let’s earnestly hope that Netanyahu withstands idiots in the White House.
